Works very well
I purchased the Netgate 6100 to replace a Fortinet FG100F. I was tired of paying the annual license fees on the Fortinet. This replaced it very well with 2X10GB interfaces and 2.5GB interfaces were an improvement over the FG100F. Throughput is fantastic for such a small device. I am able to achieve 1GB throughput (max of internet connection) with Suricata turned on, with CPU running between 8-20% on average. Great hardware, great software.

Great firewall
I’ve used pf:Sense for years on standard PC hardware and on a virtual machine. I finally decided to run it on purpose-built hardware that would have better availability. pf:Sense is an excellent router/firewall/security device and this is a great way to use the product.

Doesn’t work as advertised.
Product doesn't work as advertised, customer support cant resolve issues with a certain internet provider.Was sold defective product.

Great device, highly recommend.
I replaced an older 3rd party firewall appliance that I was running pfsense on. This 6100 is excellent. It has 10G on two of the interfaces, at first I didn't want/need this. Then a couple of months after purchasing, I had a need for a 10G LAN, so this was ideal.

As a new user the product is a little hard to understand how to setup needed some help but over the long term you will not regret your purchase !!!

Great value for the performance
I use this gateway for my company's internet stack. We have Ubiquiti APs, Switch, and Console, and use AT&T and Spectrum with gigabit fiber and cable run to this set up for load balancing and failover. We have around 50 users on wireless internet everyday and this gets the job done absolutely fine. I was also able to set up VLANs and VPN with it. Takes a little bit of learning to get used to but once you figure out the steps it's very streamlined.
