excellent mouse for gamers

I’ve been using this computer mouse for a while now, and I really love it. It’s super light and comfortable, with nice buttons and a perfect size for daily use. Great value for the money. The only minor drawback is that it would be nice to turn off the LED light or set it to a solid color instead of the default pattern.

​I absolutely love the SteelSeries Aerox 5. Coming in at just 74g, it is incredibly lightweight for a multi-button mouse, making it fast and effortless to move during intense gaming sessions.

This weighs nothing! It takes a lil getting used to. But the programmable buttons and software are solid. One of the thumb buttons*can flick down or up. I set my "down thumb" button to grenade in prep for Battlefield 6. This then leaves the main "sniper" thumb button to drop the DPI for precision shots or maybe as a PTT (push to talk) for ArmA/Teamspeak. Plus you have the standard backwards and forwards buttons. Most gaming mice are quite heavy, many having extra weights you can add. Not this thing.... This only weighs about 65g or so making this mouse very flickable. An interesting feature of this mouse is the cable can detach from the mouse itself. Meaning you no longer have to fish around the back of your pc case for the cable if you wanted to use this with a work laptop with a separate cablel or something.

Bought this in December and it has already failed. The mouse wheel has stopped working completely and the left click has physically fallen off and will not clip back into place. What makes this more frustrating is that I barely use it. I play games roughly once a week for around 2–3 hours, so this is very light use. SteelSeries keyboards are excellent, but my experience with the rest of their products has not been great. I previously had one of their headsets which developed a software issue after around 8 months, and now this mouse has failed after about 3 months. For a premium priced “professional grade” mouse, that level of durability is unacceptable. By comparison, my Logitech G502 Hero lasted 3–4 years and still works perfectly – I only bought this because I wanted to try something different. Unfortunately this has been very disappointing, especially given the price.

Its really decent, responsive and fluid, but I do dislike the side button placement and shape. The RGB is also much better than most alternatives. Does not look water resistant though??

Works amazing very responsive and great value. Weighs very little and perfect size for my hand fits perfectly for an nice comfortable grip across long gaming sessions.

Après 1 an d'utilisation je ne suis pas déçue de mon achat. Cette souris est vraiment performante et ergonomique grâce à sa petite taille et sa légèreté. Très facile d'utilisation également, elle rends chaque mouvement souple et rapide pour le gaming ! Son câble est lui aussi assez léger et long ce qui permet de la brancher aisément même si votre tour PC est loin de votre écran ! Gros plus : ses 3 boutons latéraux qui permettent d'y assigner des actions supplémentaire que juste clic gauche/droit - clic molette. Si vous savez les utiliser (et avez le reflexe) c'est très pratique in game ! J'ai de petites mains ((14 cm du bas de ma paume au haut de mon majeur) et le bouton gris est un peu loin pour mon pouce, mais je pense que pour n'importe qui, il est facilement accessible. La résistance de cette souris est quasi imbattable, aucune marque d'usure avec le temps (peinture, pocs, rayures ou autre) et elle résiste bien au chocs ! Le seul bémol que je vois à la souris SteelSeries Aerox 5 c'est que son "grillage" laisse rentrer la poussière et rend son nettoyage assez délicat. Je viens seulement d'acheter un aérosol d'air pour la nettoyer car l'aspirateur ne fait pas l'affaire. C'est une super souris, le rapport qualité/prix est très bon et je la recommanderais sans soucis, c'est un bon achat !

Ich nutze die SteelSeries Aerox 5 RGB Gaming-Mouse nun seit einiger Zeit und bin insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Die Maus ist extrem leicht, was besonders bei schnellen Spielen ein großer Vorteil ist. Der Sensor arbeitet sehr präzise und reagiert ohne Verzögerung, egal ob beim Gaming oder im Alltag. Die Verarbeitung wirkt hochwertig und stabil, trotz des perforierten Designs. Die RGB-Beleuchtung ist dezent, individuell einstellbar und lässt sich über die Software problemlos anpassen. Besonders praktisch finde ich die zusätzlichen Seitentasten, die sich gut belegen lassen. Die Maus liegt angenehm in der Hand und eignet sich auch für längere Gaming-Sessions ohne Ermüdung. Dank der guten Gleitfüße bewegt sie sich sehr flüssig über das Mauspad. Auch das Kabel ist flexibel und stört beim Spielen nicht. Insgesamt ist die SteelSeries Aerox 5 eine leistungsstarke Gaming-Maus mit tollem Design und sehr guter Performance.

best build of a mouse i've ever owned, light and accurate. sadly something is up with this build as it began to fail a few weeks ago. alas now the right click will only activate by way of clicking the left, middle and side button... annoyingly boring
