Rachel is from The Elegant Woman Series. The canvas is layered first with collage paper. I used aged papers and ephemera over a gessoed canvas. All of this "underpainting" is then sealed with a layer of acrylics. I typically use the colors that will be in the palette I use to paint the subject. The sides are a rich medium blue that is also seen on the edges of the front side. The back is gallery wrapped and signed and dated. I do not show my entire signature to protect both you and me. The art is completed with several layers of gloss varnish spray to protect from UV and other elements. One can never protect completely against the elements, so I recommend you do not hang near a window. A lovely floater frame will give the artwork a wonderful look, but she shows well unframed also. It is your choice - I've added a photo of a black floater frame as an example - but the frame is not included. If you want to talk about options for frames, just contact me.
