Look at how many battery they will save you. I feel light is little brighter then using aaa batterys. Last 15 min longer then batterys. Only neg thing it doesn't come with a plug. Just usb wire.

Works like it's supposed to, comes with a charger. The cable it comes with is REALLY short, about 4 inches if you don't include the 2 plugs on the ends, so if it's not used at a charger that's right on the floor or at table height, it will just dangle. That said, it isn't too heavy, so it can hang without affecting charging. Has lasted a good about of time on my Spot headlamp on low setting. Only thing I would wish for would be to be able to charge it without removing it from the headlamp. Solid product, a good buy.

Seems to work well, but I had an issue when first connecting this to my Spot 400 lumen headlamp. It wasn't functioning. After looking at the contacts on my headlamp, I noticed they weren't fully flush. I took out a knife and slightly bent them out more and that fixed it and its now usable. This may fix your issue if its not working and you have confirmed you have a unit that should be compatible. For mine, it appears it was the + connector that wasn't making contact.

I would have hoped to have the option to open the back of the headlamp and charged the battery without an external charger, in addition to the external chrger. This would be an acceptable item if it was a little less expensive, usb C and fast charge.The battery itself seems to last long enough. I hope it has reverse polarity protection. I also think it should have been included with a $70 headlamp.

Hey, don't pass up and be a cheap skate when it comes to buying this battery for your BD. Per the high price of replacing batteries all the time, you will finally come to the realization that this battery was the best purchase you've made in a long long time! It is very bright and lasts a good long while. You can even take the charger with you if you have a solar charger and re-charge as necessary. I have this battery and use it all the time and would never go back to just batteries alone -- although I do carry a back-up supply of 3-A batteries just in case (I have the duel fuel lamp, the only way to go). Works great

When you combine the cost of this with their headlamp (I use spot 400) you have a fairly expensive combo. That being said I absolutely love the BD-Spot 400 head lamp and use it quite often. With the number of batteries that I would normally go through this will pay for itself with time. Depending on your frequency of use this is a no brainer.It’s 14g lighter than conventional batteries for you crazies out there, but if you’re a gram weenie you already knew that 😉
