This will make your active pup so happy! I have a working K9, and tug is one of our favorite activities. Because this is a floppy square of leather, it shakes and flops so well. I sometimes hold it like a bumper, and she will take it that way, but as a flappy, floppy bit of leather, it is like no other tug toy on the market. I is expensive, but totally worth it. But I would discourage you from allowing the dog to play with it without strict supervision. I am pretty sure this could cause a bowel blockage.

My GSD puppy, at 6 months made shredded leather out of this in a matter of weeks. Initially it was fine but if you spend more than an hour or two playing with your dog, chances are this toy will begin to tear.

Seems more like a strong microfiber/felt. Material is "hard". Doesn't hang and move freely like other brands. It moves like an old sundried rag. Dog doesn't get a mouth full to bite unless you hold it a certain way. I'll try to dampen it and "break-in". I hope that helps. Feels like a dry car shamy
