XtremeAir Pro-X Series PX14-U36, 36" Wide, Baffle Filters, Stainless Steel, Under Cabinet Mount Range Hood

Great Product! I have been using this hood for 4 months now, and it does suck... all of the odors, grease, and steam right out side. Neighbors can tell exactly what I am cooking. I am an x-Chef and have been on the lookout for a real exhaust hood for my house with out spending a lot for the name brands that have less CFM. I need the odors to be removed.The package was delivered in 7 days and the packing of the hood was great. It was difficult to get it out of the packing and no damage to any of the shiny stainless. The installation instructions are very easy or straight forward, but the cabinets can cause issues.Installing this unit was difficult due to my type of cabinets. They are flat on the bottom, as there is no trim that hangs down, so I had to cut the bottom of the cabinet out for it to slide up into it. Now the trick I must do is make a thin shelf to cover the top of the hood to be able to use the bottom of my cabinet.I ordered : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001PI8S6O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to cut all the holes for the ductwork and this was a 2 person job but manageable.The actual function of the hood is great, I see why other reviews complain about the lights but it keeps me from hitting my head.The smells of onions sautéing and or green chilli cooking are no longer in the house. I have a kitchen window that is directly across from the hood and the negative pressure is eliminated. If the window is not open it still manages to pull most of the steam out.Again great product.

I needed 4 L shape brackets; 2 on the back ( supplied, thanks) and 2 on the front that need to be screwed onto the sides of the cabinet i.e. inside the cabinet on the left and right; the flat brackets are supported onto a weak part of the cabinet; this way the brackets are out of the way as well; these 4 L brackets should measure 2" on the round hole side and 3" on the slotted hole side. Found an L shape bracket (see foto) but it is a thinner metal and I am not sure it would support 1/4 lbs of the total weight.On step 6, secure hood to back wall, seems not need it since manufacturer did not provide holes. Is it possible that you can send me these additional brackets with a heavy thickness and with the above measurements

It is an average product. I still need to open the windows and doors after cooking with level 4 on. Be aware of this seller’s return policy that charges 20% of product price for restocking fee in addition to the sipping back cost.After months of utilizing, I changed 3 stars to 2 stars:I downgraded it from three-stars to two stars after utilizing it for several months. The range hood is not deep enough to cover the front of the cooktop, so the cooking oil smoke and food smells are not able to be collected into the vent. It is loud. I definitely not recommend this one to anyone. The two stars I gave are for the good quality of the materials and oil drip system. The manufacturer claims it's 900 cfm, but it is not. I regretted to choose this one to replace my older one with 450 cfm. They worked the same. Recently I cooked food under a range hood of cfm 900 Pacific Trusteam at my relative's home, then I understood what a true 900 cfm means.

When you like the Best you have just found it! Super quiet and powerful! Makes me feel like a chief! It has a remote ! Give it a close look, you won't be dissiapointed in this one!

It claims 900 CFM, but it is not strong as expected, btw, I used 8” pipe.To fasten the range hood to the cabinet, the manufacturer provides some screws as shown in the pictures, but I do not trust the screws, it is NOT safe enough. Instead, I used 4 bolts with washers in the corners, this way, I would never worry about the falling down of this 46 pounds of toy..

OK. Not much better than other hood I had.

I don't understand why people will recommend this product. It is even worse than any $100.00-$300.00 Home depot kitchen hood! Every time when I cook, the smoke is not gong out from the Range Hood but everywhere in my house!! I had had to open all of the window in my house every time before I cook!

We spent a great deal of time researching our replacement range hood and deciding on the XtremeAir. Most weren't nearly powerful enough to keep up with a busy kitchen. This product moves a great deal of air and does it quietly. LED lights were also important. Lack of energy efficient lighting on other hoods indicated the manufacturers failure to keep up with technology. Upon installation we discovered another feature that was not well described, even in the user's manual: it has an automatic setting that will turn the blower on when a lot of smoke is present. We found that it also promptly turns itself on when a burner is lit and heat is sensed, even adjusting the speed automatically. It also turns itself off. When this auto function button is pushed, all other buttons are inactive. It's easy to switch back and forth between manual and auto. Although there is no cooking timer on board, there is a timer function to turn the hood off automatically.
