Has some very good points, but gets a bit silly for me.

Thought Provoking
I bought this book for my husband, who incidentally is an aspie. He says that this book is small, shor, eary to read but has some pretty deeper information that requires some real thought on all the matters. Seems that since he has started reading it we have been having more discussions concerning inner anger that is pent up. This has opened some communication for us, which is always a great thing! He does keep saying that it is a little hippie-ish, meaning I guess that it is a little spiritual for his taste as he leans toward atheism. All in all this book is opening communication and thats what counts for me. Good luck to you all.

No more raging maniac
I am so thankful that I found this book. I had fallen into a terrible pattern of screaming uncontrollably at my kids and then later having to apologize. My kids were afraid of me and how I would react. This book made sense to me from page one. Every page has been an "Ah-ha" moment of how I have conditioned my heart and mind to respond with anger. It has been so worth the money. I am now using the teachniques and ideas from the book to recondition my heart and mind to respond more calmly. My kids and husband have noticed a difference. And I definitely have. I feel so much better physically and mentally (less outburts mean less guilt and shame for how my anger was affecting my kids). I highly recommend this book for anyone who is looking for real and doable ways to reduce your anger. Good luck!

Immediately useful tools
The book is easy to read, well organized, and contains several tools for managing - changing - one's reaction to situations that one finds frustrating, upsetting, or anger-inducing. It's a helpful book for anyone, not just someone who is addressing their anger.

Therapists dream reference book in understanding your body
This is a book everyone on earth should read. It is short, with years and years of medical research of the way our bodies think. In order to change the world, you have to understand your world. A hint in the book is your heart thinks way more than your brain. There are way more nerve going from the heart to the brain than brain to the heart. Your whole body is a thinking. You have to know research and how your others parts think over your brain to change habits that can be changed in this book. Short and sweet.

I've learned so much so far
I have only recently received this book but from the beginning of it, I have learned tons. There are many things in this book that I had never heard before on how to manage anger. I have been practicing some of the lessons and have found that they work well, but it won't happen overnight. I know this will help me.

Excellent techniques, but simple
All four of these (depression, anger, stress, anxiety) are excellent - simple but powerful techniques that are easy to put in practice. If you've never done any form of aware breathing, including mindfulness or meditation etc. it might seem a bit odd. But continue with this (and the others) and you will find it an excellent form of self-therapy.

It works!
An excellent book. The methods described do work, but it does take some practice. I would recommend reading this to anyone suffering stress or stress induced anger.

Combining Emotive & Cognitive Methods
I was curious to learn about HeartMaths. As a practitioner who has developed my own anger reduction techniques, I wanted to learn other approaches. This book did not disappoint me. It is simple, well written with appropriate case histories and explanations. Like any other self-help book, you have to practice what you learn from it to get the best out of it. Discipline is the key.

but nothing seems to hit the chords with me like this book does
For what ever reason, this book resonated with me. I have read a lot of other stuff on anger management, but nothing seems to hit the chords with me like this book does. I have begun reading it for the second time, & i'm sure that will not be the last!!
