Beautiful cookbook homage to biodynamic farming
This is a lovely cookbook filled with delicious looking recipes thoughtfully interspersed with useful information and stories from their Biggest Little Farm experience. Ultimately, I returned because I don’t think I would be able to find a lot of the ingredients, and I don’t have the time or energy to make my own concoctions as used in the recipes. I think I would become more discouraged than anything. Buy this is a beautiful book for the right person, underpriced in my opinion for how jam packed it is and how lovely the illustrations. If I had a larger home with more shelf space, I would keep it for inspiration if not actual use.

A Story of Delicious and Healthy Food and Life from the Ground Up
Molly Chester’s fabulous new “cookbook” (it’s actually a bible, a heroic novel, an apothecary, and a window on the future) is, as with her and John’s magical farm, a beautiful and elegant response to the multiple threats to us all from unhealthy and tasteless cooking and processed foods and meals. It is a masterwork in life-coaching.Her carefully developed and curated recipes provide a clear roadmap for healthy and delicious food preparation and eating for individuals, families, and for entertaining, and her stories - as with the documentaries on her farm - paint a clear and hopeful picture for how our food should (and will) be grown and enjoyed in the future. As a cookbook, it is the only one you need, whether you’re an individual, a family, or an active entertainer. As a roadmap to the future, it is prophetic. As a story of family, farming, and food, it is uniquely (and honestly) charming.

Beyond Farm to Table
I was so excited for this book to arrive and it exceeded my expectations. The Apricot Lane Farms Cookbook is more than a collection of recipes - it’s a practical guide to caring for yourself, your loved ones and embracing Mother Nature. This beautiful book welcomes you to imagine better food. A simple idea but given the number of challenges we all face, it’s hard to figure out what to prioritize (psssst it’s our health). Start small. A colorful salad filled with seasonal veggies and topped with a homemade vinagrette like the Roasted Picnic Pepper and Tomato Panzanella (page 170). Molly’s practices make eating with the seasons and without processed foods seem exciting, not overwhelming. Each page is an inspiration. Thank you, Molly and team for sharing your deep love and understanding for the health of our food.

More than a cook book! Delightful.
This is a spectacular and beautiful book. There is so much more to it than recipes. Though the recipes are wonderful, browsing the art work and photographs is an additional treat. I’ve gifted it to many people and they all rave about it too. Well done!

Beautiful Food That Heals!
An amazing cookbook! To grow, prepare and feed others this way is hard to even imagine. But Molly Chester has done ALL of that. This woman also documented her efforts in beautiful photography woven together by a story worth telling. Molly has mirrored the poet, Mary Oliver's advice, "Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it." That is precisely what this female farmer has done. And done well. Wait until you taste this food...you will indeed be astonished!

Difficult for Vegans
We debated purchasing this cookbook. Of course, the recipes are really impressive: my husband is a former chef; I am a serious homecook, with an herb garden with over 100+ kitchen herbs (thank you Richter's & Baker Creek Seeds). However, including beautiful loving photos of baby lambs alongside their mothers; baby lambs playing with the author's dogs; etc, is just TOO SAD. Then to include the lamb and chicken recipes a few pages later, knowing these beautiful animals were slaughtered is just TOO UPSETTING to bear. And, photos of children eating the animals that used to be their friends. You can see in the animals eyes how much they want to just live their lives, not be butchered, WHY even include the photos of these beautiful animals? We regret this purchase.
