It Smells Like a Place. And That Place is Big Sur.
Most fragrance oils smell like a scent. This one smells like a place. That distinction matters more than it sounds. The moment I opened Mountain Meets Ocean I got ocean first — clean, fresh, mineral. Then something shifted. Soft woods crept in underneath, coastal greenery, a morning marine layer quality that felt genuinely atmospheric rather than synthetic. My immediate thought was Big Sur. Not a candle inspired by Big Sur. Not a room spray trying to evoke it. Actually Big Sur — cypress trees, Pacific cliffs, that specific cool air that exists where the mountains drop straight into the water. As someone actively learning fragrance making and training my nose, I’ve been building a reference library of oils that teach me something about how scent works. Mountain Meets Ocean earned a category of its own — I think of it as a place builder rather than just a fragrance. It creates open space. It creates atmosphere. It transitions beautifully between marine and woody without feeling abrupt or synthetic. This is three season versatility — spring, summer, early fall — and it works equally well as a standalone or as a blending anchor for coastal accords. The redwood coolness opening. The coastal mineral saltiness. The California landscape that can’t exist anywhere else in the world. If you’ve ever stood on a California cliff and just breathed — this is that.

Perfect scents! I bought the coastal one. “Where Ocean Meets Mountains” is the best.

They are good
They all smell great. However 1 they leak a lot and come out too fast so there's a lot of waste. And 2 they are only filled to the top of the label, so the bottles don't come full.

The Absolute Best
This is the absolute best fragrance oils I ever purchased for use in my defusers. Only a few drops needed and the scent is amazing. The other ones I have used before can’t even come close to these. I highly recommend them

Spend an extra couple bucks.
Every bottle was leaking upon delivery. None of them smell very good at all. Very synthetic smelling.
