looks like mildew on the belt as well as the belt smells like it!

For the price this is a decent product.A note on sizing: the sizes shown on this belt correspond to the distances between the base of the buckle and the first and last holes rather the waist sizes its suitable for. Rule of the thumb when buying belts is that the size you need is 2" higher than your waist size - I'm a 32" waist, and I fit right in the middle of the medium 32"-36" belt size, but this can also depend on how high up your waist you wear your trousers.If this leaves you unsure of what size you will need, get a cloth tape measure (well worth the <£2 they cost when it comes to ordering correctly sized clothing goods online) and measure over your trousers where your belt will sit and measure the true length you need. Add 1 and a quarter inch to to advertised length of the belt to accommodate the buckle (so size 32" to 36" becomes 33.25" to 37.25"). This belt has 5 holes, each an inch apart between the advertised lengths.In terms of material, the product does not say what type of leather it uses and unfortunately I'm not skilled enough to identify it exactly but I suspect it uses genuine leather which is a lower quality leather. It looks fine, but don't expect it be as durable as belts made out of more expensive leather. I think this is reflected in the price though, so I can't really knock the product for it (just don't think that you're getting a world class belt for £12.45), and it seems of similar quality to most belts you would find in high street shops for around the £20 price mark.
