Psychology GCSE for Edexcel: Revise and Supplement

This psychology book for edexcel gcse is great! It is packed with knowledge yet it allows one to understand it with fun, vivid scenarios. Definitely recommend this book to anyone struggling in gcse psychology or further, anyone who aims to achieve a top grade on their exams.

Having purchased this book as a revision tool for my home educated daughter, to work alongside the Pearson course textbook, I am very disappointed with it. There are 10 'test yourself' questions within each chapter, for which answers are provided but covered in the text anyway. There are are also 'exam questions' for each chapter with a link to obtain answers online, which was my main reason for buying it. Following this link only takes you to a page to log on or register for access to materials, but after filling in the form, Routledge replied that access is only available for verified teachers etc etc. The book contains only text which replicates the Pearson course book, absolutely no colour, diagrams or photos, so I'd say it's aimed at teachers in school rather than students, and definitely not home educators. I am returning it and my search for Edexcel GCSE revision material goes on!

Please note I have reviewed this after an email back from the customer service department. I have now been sent the exam question answers for the book. There isn’t any breakdown of marks or explanation, but at least we have answers now. I have therefore raised the review below from one star to four stars. This book is advertised as having on-line support including answers to exam questions. It does NOT. There is code given that only takes you back to purchasing the book again. I tried to complete the form for support and they returned my email promptly but said that only proper teachers / lecturers at recognised institutions can register (not home educators / parents). I am left with an almost useless book that does not serve the purpose for which I bought it. It isn’t even that good for revision. Save your money and either opt for a decent revision source or get past papers and mark schemes from the exam board - I wish I had!

Was hoping for a second edition and this delivers! Excellent set of new updated exam questions for my students to practice, and more importantly with answers that can be downloaded. Am liking the bigger size book too! Many thanks 👍

Changed the course of my GCSE- i am thoroughly grateful for this revision guide. Last year, i went from 5/6 to an eventual 9. This book is really useful, with great psychological content as well as key structural tips. 10/10 - would definitely recommend!
