I bought a similar type product to Carlinkit v3 about a year ago. I had been waiting so long for something like these AI boxes that paid an arm an a leg for it. When I received it, it was utter disappointment. It was buggy, unresponsive, connectivity was hit and miss (mostly miss), and the customer service was unhelpful. The AI box went into a drawer and has been there ever since... I started watching Youtube video for these products recently and overall they looked like they worked much better, but my expectations were low. I found the Carlinkit v3 at really good price and decided to try it out. Amazon has a pretty generous return policy, so I figured what the heck. I am really glad I took another shoot, and more importantly I am glad I chose the Carlinkit v3. This thing is exactly what I wanted when I bought the first item I described. Boot up is fast, CarPlay connects for me easily, the Android interface is works well and very responsive, connecting to my iPhone's hotspot is easy and stays connected, app selection for the AI box is good, etc. I did decide to add a prepaid SIM to the thing and I like this method much better than connecting to my phone's hotspot. The hotspot method works well, but I am digging the "always connected". Also, one added thing I never considered but works like a dream. I already had a bluetooth OBDII dongle set up in my truck. I was able to add an app to the AI box and connect it via bluetooth. Now I can see the gauges and other items relating to my truck on the infotainment screen. I'm really impressed with this product and would def purchase Carlinkit products in the future after this experience.

Had a few buggy issues but overall was pleased…..for a while. After 6 months it is totally dead. No lights, no Wi-Fi, nothing. Can’t get it to turn on at all. Nothing happened, it just didn’t work one day.Customer service responded promptly. But no help so far. Had to send video of a “dead” unit, waste of time. Keep saying I have to get a refund from Amazon which is only 30 days when the warranty is for a year.Still waiting for a resolution.
