Hard to tell from other reviewers if this was a matte gold or glossy finish online. It is indeed a glossy/mirror finish. I wasn’t sure at first whether I liked that, but it’s growing on me. Easy to install, seems durable enough for the price point. We will see how long the coating lasts. Will update review as needed.

Perfect. Looks very luxe. Exactly what I was hoping for and more. My car is a dark sapphire blue with silver trim, but even though there's no gold on it, the gold plates just make it look really beautiful. I'm not really worried that the bottom half covers up the registration stickers. A lot of license plates seem to and if somebody happens to pull me over about it will become apparent soon enough that I am indeed registered! I like the look of The thickness on the bottom. It's just more noticeable than a thinner plate cover. Just follow the instructions about how to get the screw caps on. Looks like some people had trouble with it but it's pretty clear in the instructions. The entire installation of the plates literally took me about 45 seconds.

Very nice looking frame. The gold has a nice shine to it that follows you when you walk by. I’m giving it 4 stars because this plate is metal, but the package doesn’t come with any washers/guards to protect your car from being scratched by the plate. Also on my plate the frame cuts off the bottom part.

This was a nice frame and it arrived quickly. I bought the frame for my wife's new Rav4 because I thought the gold would look nice against the dark green paint. However the rest of the trim and badges on the vehicle were chrome so it didn't look right. The seller was great and let me return it for an exchange to a chrome frame.

Solid, sturdy frame. Easy to install. Attractive finish. We'll have to see how long the luster holds when exposed to the elements, but in its current 'new' condition, the frame has an elegant look.

They came in today. And, against the red vehicle, look great. The item was in excellent condition and all parts were delivered with it. The only issue is the is the threads to the rear plate are of a different size than those delivered, and the preinstalled bolt has an attached washer, so it won't fit in the plastic cap to allow the gold bolt cover to fit. This will be an easy fix by just running to the hardware store for a washerless nut.

Came out nice, it looks a bit dark on the bottom part but it is the glare of the street. It's pretty shiny the only thing was there were scratches all around the edge of the frame but the actual face plate was smooth and clean
