OK, just not as-is!
These labels are expensive for what they are. But with a couple of modifications they work very well, and I will purchase them again, even if for lack of a desirable alternative. As others have noted, the copper is not attached well to the galvanized wire frame. It is a thin, soft piece of metal that is loosely crimped around the wire. If you go through the mulch bed with a leaf blower or shrub rake, these come off all to often. I went back to my labels in place and applied a dab of glue across each crimp on the back of the label. Elmer's WoodGlue Max waterproof glue is what I had on hand, and it works fine. Now when I buy the tags, I just do this right away, of course. (I hope my photos can be attached, only asked for video on-line thus far).Ok, second part is the pen, as others have noted. My assumption is that this is an ink that does not photo-bleach in a month or two as Sharpie markers are wont to do. I don't know as I just toss them, since the copper will oxidize to a dark patina in a few weeks. Instead, I apply a label made with a Brother "p-touch" label maker. These have held up wonderfully for over two years. (Also, since they come in colors, you could do your low-water plants in one color, drought-tolerant in another, etc. I haven't tried this, so I don't know how the colors hold up in sunlight - just a thought.)I would think that at nearly $1 per label, the manufacturer would apply a spot of glue for us.

Very Sturdy and Readable
I bought 2 packs of these to use to mark a plant project at the school i work at in Japan. They are sturdy and very readable!.You have to be carful when writing as it is a small space and not easily corrected. Right after i put them out we had a typhoon and the plants got very beat up, but the markers were fine, just wiped off the dirt!will buy more as needed!!

Marker doesn't last
These are great if you want to engrave the plant names or whatever - which makes them hard to read. An ordinary Sharpie permanent marker washed off. Maybe there's a pen designed for more permanence. But these look lovely so far - I'm hoping for verdigris soon.

Look good new, questionable durability (TBD)
I like the concept. But the copper plates are pretty flimsy right out of the package. They seem like a heavy-duty foil wrap. And the ends don't seem to secure onto the stake very well, so I guess time will tell if they hold up. I do like the look of the new. I just hope they last through a season. If they last more than one year, I would be surprised.

... sit on the prong posts at an angle for easy viewing! Luster Leaf has another model that does ...
The copper labels were not removable & did not sit on the prong posts at an angle for easy viewing! Luster Leaf has another model that does both of these desirable things that I will purchase. I would never have bought this item if the description on Amazon had been more thorough. To me, this is the biggest problem with Amazon. The companies don't include enough information.

Too flimsy for repeated use
In the picture, these look like the nice plant markers I have seen at the garden center -- they aren't! They are smaller and the copper is very thin and not well attached to the stake. They may be OK for house plants or for one year in the garden, but won't hold up for long. Also, the marking pen that came with them was dried up.I would not buy this product again.

Thin gage material
I bought very similar ones two years ago and absolutely loved them. When I bought these, in comparison I found these "copper" plates incredibly thin and not spot welded as the others. I also had to recrimp each one. Am hoping they last a few seasons.

No more lost tags
After losing tags that come with the plants and losing smaller plastic tags, I finally bought this plant tag. It's large enough to put any info you want, it stays in place, and you can find it amongst your jungle. I finally will not be destroying bulbs I've planted, and I'll be able to identify which rose is which. I'm not going to lose any more expensive plants to a bad memory. YAYYY!

It's good for the price
It's good for the price. The metal is a bit cheaper then I was hoping for. But all in all its a good product.
