Incredible whole room air circulation. I’ve been using tower fans to attempt to circulate cool air in a rental that will not allow ceiling fan installation. I purchased this vornado thinking it was just another fan in a smaller footprint but I was wrong. I placed this fan on my kitchen cabinet soffit ( 9ft ceilings so fan sits about 8ft up ) aimed it to “kiss the ceiling , pass just outside of the HVAC output register and bounce off the far wall. The hvac air intake register is on the opposite side of the ceiling / opposite wall. I turned the is vornado on low - and to my amazement - the air loop was finally complete and the whole room almost instantly felt cooler ( very slight air movement can be felt - but not a blast like you get with a tower fan ). It’s incredible - I can barely hear the vornado - I got white to blend with the wall color and cabinets so it disappears , and I get whole room air cooling circulation pushing the cool air from the hvac registers down into the room before it circulates back to the intake register ( before the air was dropping before reaching the setting area and being short circuited back into the intake ). I think this solution works better than a ceiling fan - which can feel choppy and not always able to circulate air if the room geometry is not “rectangular “. Highly recommend this vornado air circulator fan - it’s an amazing and surprisingly simple cost effective solution to airflow optimization in a space where you can’t or don’t want to put a ceiling fan - it won’t violate your lease or require any structural modifications ( just plugs in ) - and in my opinion it works better than a ceiling fan ever could ( at least in my spaces geometry ). Multiple sizes and models are available to customize for your needs - and in the rare instance you need 2 to complete your air loop - the smaller model placed on the floor pointed up at the end of your cool air push side of the loop pointed back to the intake register or intake of the 1st vornado placed higher up would work perfectly and be easy to place out of the way / out of site.

I love this fan! It's perfect for my need which is in a smallish condo bathroom with no window. I take a lot of long bubble baths and need air circulation - and with hot showers too obviously . A hot bath is wonderful but without airflow, it gets too hot and suffocating! I could drag my big Lasko "cyclone" or "wind machine" floor fan to the bathroom door but that'd be a pain everytime. It is the perfect size too. I had one of those (worthless) tower fans that even on high is not much better than this fan on low or low-medium. For a long bath, I've found the 3rd highest setting is perfect pointed at me about 7-8 feet away and then after, I point it more upwards and crank it to the next level which is the highest I think - just to get everything in the bathroom good and dry (mirror, towels, whatever). It takes up the same diameter floor space as the tower fan I had but really works MUCH better. The noise on the first or second setting is barely audible but the 3rd and 4th settings are definitely louder but not so loud that I can't hear my music or anything. I know this is a long review for a fan, and quite pricey but if it works to keep me cool during baths and keeps the room from turning into a swampy rainforest after that or showers - it's worth it. Trust me, I've tried many fans (including other small floor fans) for this particular need and finally found it :) In this case, I feel it's money well spent. Also small and light enough to easily take to a friend or family member's home if need be. My only minimal complaint is that the chrome handle on the back is quite difficult to move the fan position up and down. Also, I wish it oscillated from side to side but considering for the size it's the strongest breeze fan in such a small size - and for my needs - I'm keeping it!

I love Vornado fans. They move a lot of air and are quiet. I am embarrassed to say how many I have throughout my home and RV! I have this fan in the small size and wanted to go bigger to circulate air in my RV when in storage. I purchased the medium and assumed it was like the small in terms of how to turn it on and adjust the speed. (No, I didn’t look at the pictures which would have showed me!) The small fan’s on/off/speed adjustment is a lever and the medium’s is a 3 buttons setup (on, +, and -). Unfortunately, that means if the power goes out, the medium fan is always off when the power comes back on, unlike the small fan where it comes back on at whatever the lever is set at. I needed the fan to come back on after a power outage, so the medium won’t work for the RV in storage. But I kept it anyway and swapped it out with an old oscillating fan that will help out in the RV. I now have this one in my bedroom and it is so quiet! I love it!

It was very difficult to find a fan that wasn't advertised as "quiet" and we were looking for a fan that would put out a lot of air AND make sufficient background noise for us to sleep comfortably. This one is a A+ winner! Great noise level that drowns out distractions and it really moves the air. One of our best Amazon purchases. In fact, we bought additional ones and sent to our kid's homes!

I like this fan a lot. It’s very powerful and pushes a lot of air and is very cool but I got it thinking it would help drown out the noise of my very loud upstairs neighbor. I would never pay $70 for a fan but thought it would be worth it if it worked. Unfortunately it did not drown out that noise. She slams her dresser drawers a lot and I can still hear her and it still keeps me up. I was up all night last night even with the fan. Unfortunately I may have to return it. I gave it a 4 because as a fan, it’s awesome.

I was a bit skeptical about this device when I bought it. I got it for my office in Central Florida where the summer right now is pretty miserable so the AC sometimes can’t keep up with the high temp and humidity. It really makes a huge difference keeping the room cooler. I would recommend it ! It is pricey but it’s worth it. I’m not sure durability since I got it only a couple of weeks ago.

Purchased this as a gift for my grandson who is leaving for college this week. I didn’t see the fan but he says it works great! He was surprised at how quiet it is and how much air it puts out. He is very happy with it!

So we recently moved into an apartment that was extremely hot! We live in Arizona so the temperatures can easily pass 100 degrees, and the ac unit sucked, we had the maintenance people come over and they said it was working fine but it was extremely hot. We had to constantly keep the windows closed so the apartment was always dark, and even at night it was still hot. We got a $30 fan from target and it was literally right in front of us and it did not make a difference at all. Looked up best fans online & YouTube & found this, immediately bought it & it’s no joke. There’s 4 settings, set it up & angle it @ a wall (not in front of you it’s not meant to be used like that) & the air will bounce off all the walls & chill not just the room but the entire house in 5 mins. Yea it can be loud especially on the highest setting but even @ setting 2 it works amazing & sounds like a normal fan! Now we have to turn it off after sometime because we get too cold, in the desert in the middle of 100 degree summer! Hands down if you have a hot house get this, we went over to my cousins house for game night & they were going through the same thing we did, her boyfriend was literally sweating & we could not stop recommending it to them. JUST BUY IT THERE IS NOT A FAN THAT BEATS IT!

Fantastic fan, I've had it running in my bedroom nearly 24/7 for over a year now with no issues. It moves air very effectively and has a pleasing low pitch hum which is great at drowning out quiet background noise.

This medium-sized table fan has been a lifesaver during this hot summer! It seems solid and well made. I think I counted 5 speed settings which are push buttons located on the top so they're really easy to change. Only the top couple of speeds are fairly noisy, as one would expect - but even in this heat I haven't had to use them. The other speeds are quiet. The fan head can be adjusted to any angle up or down by a unique mechanism (no preset stops) and stays put. Note that this fan does not oscillate. It's efficient at pushing out cool air - if you can't have a room A/C, this is the next best thing. To me, this fan is worth the higher price, and it far outperforms other brands of the same size.

Pela marca e pela propaganda que fazem do ventilador, eu esperava muito mais. Não é barato, e só tem ar na sala inteira se a sala tiver 10 m². É bonito, é prático, mas só serve para uma pessoa, para ventilar tudo vou ter que comprar mesmo o velho ventilador de teto, o que eu não queria. Talvez o ventilador Vornado de maior capacidade faça o que promete a propaganda. E olha que o tempo ainda não está quente, tem chovido bastante e testei nessas condições, quero ver quando esquentar.

The first unit I ordered from Amazon was much louder than expected, but after a brief conversation with Vornado customer support they replaced the unit free of charge. Very polite and responsive customer support. The replacement unit is almost silent on the low setting, perfect for use while sleeping. Higher settings move a lot of air for the warmer days. Definitely recommend this product.

I was skeptical to get this guy for like a year If you're like me you get hot easily, and you've gone through multitudes of house fans just for them to break or need constant cleaning or air circulators that just move hot air around. This master of disaster doesn't just move air around but it does it well, warm air gets cooled down fast and hot air gets pushed out to make room for cooler air. I'm not a doctor but that's the science of it in my head. This is worth the money, it's got a really quiet setting that works extremely well and it's got a loud setting that will cool down your entire basement/first floor/wherever. Noises are to be expected from any fan or circulator but Vornado really makes a good product. Just remember to use proper airflow to your advantage and your summers won't suck anymore.
