Excellent Reef-Safe Sunscreen
I've tried a couple of reef-safe sunscreens over the past 2 years, & been disappointed in both of them. The claims were good, but they both felt sticky & were hard to spread, left a white cast on my already fair skin, & in one case, washed off soon enough that I got a mild sunburn (luckily, on the last day of our vacation). One was marketed for babies, so I was also giving it a test-drive on myself first. But it failed the test. Given everyone's claims that weren't met, I was wondering if there actually WAS a decent sunscreen that was also coral-safe. Then I tried Safe Sea SPF50+ Kids Sunscreen! Thrilled is an understatement. It comes out of the tube white & fairly thick, so I was wary. But no! It's easy to spread (key for putting on kids), & once on, it's clear! And altho it leaves a sheen, it feels moisturizing, not sticky (& the sheen lets you know if you've missed a spot). The scent is mild & pleasant, not heavy coconut like many. The only downside is that it's pricey ~ $16.50 / 3.4 oz tube as of Feb 2024. I love knowing that I can do the right thing w/o compromising on how my sunscreen looks/feels/protects my skin. I have no idea if there were sea lice where we were (I'd never heard of that), but if there were, this sunscreen protected us from that, too. Highly recommend!

Fair price and reef safe
I got this for a trip to Hawaii and used it for my face. I have very sensitive skin on my face and tried it out ahead of time and had no reaction at all which was great. It stayed on for hours of in and out of the water and did its job. No sunburned forehead or nose for me

Good quality sea safe sunscreen
I like this sunscreen, it did work quite well even though my husband did get stung by a jellyfish but the sting did not hurt as bad as with out the use of the sunscreen so I do recommend.

Excellent Fully Waterproof Sunscreen
I don’t go on vacation without this. It’s easy to apply, just let it soak in and it will protect you for hours without rinsing off in the water. I have fair skin and never burn when I use SafeSea.

Worked great for Puerto Rico!
I developed some anxiety about the jellyfish and sand lice in Puerto Rico for an upcoming vacation. This sunscreen allowed my worries to melt away so I could enjoy my trip! It worked great as sun repellent.Of course, I didn't end up encountering any jellyfish or sea lice (that I know of), so I can only speak to the fact that it helped to ease my worries, which might be worth it! it was for me.

Put in UNDER suit to protect from sea lice
At first we only put it where the edges of the suits touched skin. That wasn't enough. The second day we used it all over under our suits and had zero itch. The sea lice were so bad that everyone who got in the ocean left within 15 minutes itching like crazy, we were the only people left and were in for over an hour with zero itch. Worked so well!

Fragranced and expensive
I got this because of the claim on sensitive skin. However, this has a pretty strong fragrance to it. So, if your littles are eczema prone, be advised. It's also VERY expensive for a little tube ($16 bucks at time of review).I used on myself just to test it for the review (didn't want to risk a rash on my littles) and I was fine with it and it did protect. However, for the price, I wouldn't get this over mustela, unless I was in particular need of reef friendly sunscreen.
