The first thing I will say about this is that the type C adapter is CHARGING ONLY. You cannot transfer data through the type C adapter. That being said, I had upgraded to a note 20 plus and I needed an adapter to keep your gaming headphones working on the new phone. I usually like to use my gaming wired headphones with my phone when I am gaming so this is great. It transfers sound and voice pretty well so I can take calls easily as well. The dark color does not clash with the phones look.This adapter has a very short length. It is about three inches or so in length. You can plug any headphones into it and if it does have voice capability it will work fine. The charging works great and it does support fast charging. It does not get warm or anything. The cable is relatively tough and is made of nylon fiber. It is is fairly flexible. The type c port stays pretty well inside your phone without much issue. It is not hindered by the phone case. The nice thing about this is that you still keep the ability to charge your phone while using this adapter. Overall this is a good adapter to have if you want to be able to plug your device into old headphones. I really love having this when I am gaming on my phone and want to use my gaming wired headset. I usually like to keep these just attached to my headphones and with me in case my bluetooth headphones run out of batteries. It does not degrade any sound from what I can tell and I allows me to keep and use my old headphones. The only thing I will say is that the type c can only charge it does not transfer data. You need to remove this adapter and plug your type c cable into the device directly.

I love this adapter, it really solved a problem for me with my new iPad 10th generation. I love this new iPad except for the fact that now it only has a usb-c connector, and that’s it! No more headphone output. Therefore I couldn’t connect it to my older HK Go+Play boombox that sounds incredible but has no wireless connections. That’s where this little adaptor stepped in to create a perfect solution that provides me a 3.5mm audio jack for sound and a usb-c connection to keep the power flowing to the iPad. It’s just perfect 👍🏼

Original reviews in early February, revised on 7/9/2023.I need to revise the review from the origial 4 stars. After a few months of usage it started repeating disconnecting and connecting every few seconds. The USB C plugs are symmetrical. But the from the beginning only one side was usable. The seller offered me $6 refund, which was nice of them since it was outside of Amazon return policy. But since I haven't yet seen their current version, I would not recommend this product out of countless other brands/sellers on Amazon.I have purchased 4 of USB C to 3.5mm audio jack dongles from various brands/sellers. I got replacements or partial refunds for 3 of them.I detest the removals audio jacks from most of the phones in the market. It seems these USB C to 3.5mm audio jacks have issues by nature. They start good, but in a few weeks or months, repeated tiny forces to plugs make them lose over time, like if you have your phones in your pockets. I am very gentle to the socket and plugs trying not to touch it even it was in my pockets.- Original Review -The sound is good with Samsung S20 FE. The price is good. The fast charging works. (You need to have a charger or power bank that spports PD "power delivery" charging protocol for fast charging.) Occasionally, the audio cuts off if I wiggle the plug or give force to it while in pockets which causes audio players stop. But, it is the nature of USB C DAC dongles, rather than the product itself. This happens less frequently compared to other dongles I have had in the past. It is the phone manufacturers' fault removing audio jacks.

Update: After trying three other adapters in a similar price range, I've come to realize that this one has much better audio quality. No background hiss and all my earbuds and headphones properly fit into the 3.5 mm jack with no static when jostled -- unlike the three I have tried as replacements. So I am going to buy it again and hope it holds up better. I have updated my overall score to 4 stars. Audiophile me is expecting too much from an inexpensive adapter.‐--------Everything was fine initially. Good sound and recharged fine. I used it perhaps 10 times during the first 5 weeks I had it. Then both the audio and charger connection became intermittent for a few minutes before quitting completely. I assume the problem is with the main USB-C connector on the adapter or both functions wouldn't have failed at the same time. Amazon was kind enough to refund my money despite it being 1 week past the 30 day return guarantee. I never attemped to communicate directly with the seller so I have no idea if they would have refunded/replaced.I am not hard on my electronics. I expect something like this to last about a year with careful use. Now I am off to search for a replacement.

I like to plug my phone into my car stereo using an audio patch cable into my aux jack.This product works great! I was worried that I would not be able to charge the phone, but this device also includes a charging connector! I can listen to my music and charge my phone at the same time.Highly recommended! Looks great too.

Wish I'd had this long ago.i was hesitant to by this adapter due to the negative reviews here. i can report that my unit works perfectly with my samsung galaxy s20.the sound quality is very good.there are no clicking noise or other sound artifacts.
