A Specific Prerequisite Needed If One Wishes to BE PREPARED
This video is a detailed learning aid toward what psychological, physical and equipment skills, procedures and abilities one needs in order to develop, ingrain into procedural memory, and consistently reinforce with correct practice and training, the combat mindset one will absolutely need if one really wants to arrive on the other side of killing combat a whole person--not broken. The graphic details portray what happens to those who merely give up without a fight and allow the evil of the world to take over. The gems of wisdom and skill Paul Howe shares with the viewer came at the highest price, personal experience in combat provides, and with this wisdom unfolding in this DVD, one will actually gain a genuine insight into whether or not he or she owns the ability to develop the proper mindset for killing combat.I have witnessed many training and instructional videos since this learning medium began in the mid-1980s pertaining toward learning martial arts, shooting and tactical preparations for managing horrific human violence. Some do an okay job, touching lightly on a few technical skills here and again, while most miss the mark entirely and represent a money making production with little else but marketed hype. This particular video addressing the Combat Mindset, what it is. and what it is NOT, and how we groom such a mindset over our lifetime, hits straight to the heart and soul of the matter. This video will expose one's weaknesses and help the viewer find what he or she might be able to engage in training to better prepare the self for the horrors of killing combat. The video is a cornucopia of insights and skills designed to discover and set into place the seeds needed to nurture and harvest the proper mindset with the subsequent learned skills, demanded for prevailing in the unforgiving environment of human violence.Watch it, re-watch it, totally absorb these details presented, looking deep into the soul. Be honest with the Self, as the whole being engages the finality of this environment, discovering what one must develop, beyond mere mechanical skills, tactical procedures and marksmanship. A truth will be found here, as no other video has set before it.Well done Mr. Howe; well done Panteao. Personally, this may be the most significant learning aid about what is and is not the combat mind set yet developed for a consuming public.A. Bodhi

Good but brutal video, worth the money,
Paul has been there and done that. He makes some good points in this video and I came away with some serious food for thought. Some of the video clips he uses to make his points are really, really disturbing to watch but they help to drive home the point. One of the lines from Paul still stick with me as it struck me as both funny and poignant something along the lines of, he would not wait to be killed like some sheep, face down, "...by some bugger eater with an unzeroed AK who does not know the difference between line of bore and line of sight..." This video helped me solidify my mindset to survive and resist against the evil that men do. Overall, a good, hard to watch (gruesome/brutal) at times, and thought provoking video on combat mindset. Not for the faint of heart. But neither is fighting for your life or the lives of others. CT

Paul Howe's "Combat Mindset"
This video contains some interesting and mostly valuable material. The first section which introduces the viewer to extreme violence is not for children. There are a number of beheadings and the Columbine rampage. There is material I'd use in training, specifically Columbine. I asked a couple experienced officers to give me an opinion of the intro and even guys who've set a lot of autopsies found the beheadings disturbing. I think quite a few people might not get through the intro to the actual material. Howe knows what he's talking about and is well worth listening to and considering his points.

Awesome
This video should be mandatory for any military or law enforcement. It has realistic and gruesome videos that might make some weak in the stomach, but there is a reason for all of this. I have purchased 6 of Paul's videos so far, and this is by far the most valuable so far. It is important to not become complacent and this video will help with that. It is a great training tool in my opinion.

Very sobering!
This will sear your mind when you see actual, cold blooded a-social behavior without regard for humanity. It will show you how far behind the preparation curve you really are. It is your responsibility to defend yourself and your loved ones. You are the first responder. The stakes are high and there is no second place. Get on with your prep.

Sorry - That was NOT Columbine. Bad misrepresentation.
Mr. Howe shows a video clip he claims to be "Columbine" (he specifically says, "This next video is Columbine…") that is ostensibly the security video from the April 20, 1999 Columbine High School Massacre. He then talks about how valuable the video was to law enforcement. What is actually shown (!!!AND NEVER CREDITED!!!) are scenes from a movie called "Zero Day", which was a 2003 fictional depiction of the Columbine Massacre, and NOT any genuine video at all. Mr. Howe, of course, talks about the video as if it were genuine. If you thought that video clip was "chilling" and "valuable", as some reviewers have commented, you've been fooled: It was fake. Did you wonder why the date stamp on the "security camera" says "May 1, 2001", or why one of the shooters is called "Andrei" and not Dylan or Eric? Bad form, Panteao.

Overall view
No disrespect but he is very boring and slow is my only complaintbut none the less still valuable information contained in the dvd, if you can take away one thing you didn't know or understand from another instructor its worth it

Good video, very graphic at the beginning and hard ...
Good video, very graphic at the beginning and hard to stomach, but necessary to drive the point home. Good advice on staying in the fight and not quitting.
