pretty good, but needs a bit more of a liner
My kid likes the suit. We already knew that it wouldn't be snug on my son's leg, as I had read the other reviews before purchasing. I'm just used to swim trunks that have a bit of a liner. A pair of underwear under the trunks solves that issue, but I'm just not used to requiring underpants for swimming.

Excellent boys jammers
We have been purchasing Tuga Boys swim jammers for several years now. Regular swim trunks were causing chafing on my son's legs, especially when swimming in the ocean. We decided to try jammers, which work great for him. After trying a few other brands we found Tuga. The quality is great, we usually have two pairs which we use all summer long, occasionally at the beach, but mostly in the (non-clorinated) pool. I have noticed that chlorinated pools do cause them to fade and break down more quickly. My son is in the size 13/14, he is 12 years old, 5'4" and slim with a 26" waist, so he is at the upper end of these fitting. My only quibble is there is no larger kids sizes in Tuga that will fit him. We will have to go to men's sizing but I think they will be too large right now, and don't come in as many fun patterns.

These are good and stylish jammers and our son already had a pair two size smaller when he was younger. He is a tall 8 year old who fits size 8 generally unless he needs longer legs or sleeves. The size 8/10 jammers are a tad large and he can use them but needs to tie them. The waist size is said to be 23.5, which may be correct, but they are much wider than 24" TYR we also ordered, which are really tight. The TYRs are probably meant to be compression pants and be quite tight, and the Tugas are more recreational, so this is just to help with some input for online shoppers. We would buy these again.

Slick alternative to traditional trunks
I didn't want these to be skin tight for my son, so I ordered up to the age 11-12. (He's 9 and about 75 lbs, 52" tall). He's not on swim team, he just gets rubbed buy the lining of traditional boxer style trunks so a friend suggested these. While this size fit OK, they were a bit large in the waist and I worried when wet they would sag. But I (and he) liked the product enough that we kept them to grow into, and ordered the next size down. Those are right on the money, though they haven't been water tested yet. I already like the quality though. The thickness and construction are similar to the Land's End rash guard sun shirts he swims in, which hold up well through a season of summer chlorine and salt water. Despite not being lined, they are thick and hold their shape to remain modest looking (not too clingy in the groin and bootie regions).

Please read my review
The only thing I don't like about these is the tie is apart from the fabric so the tie is on his skin and the fabric puckers out away from his tummy. Other than that, I love them. Great as a sunscreen

Durable and well made
I bought these in an 8/10 for my lean 9 yo. They fit almost perfectly. They are just a little big on the waist, but they have a drawstring on the inside that we tie, and he has absolutely no problem with them slipping. He is in triathlon training for the entire summer, and has been doing all of his practices and events in these jammers. He wears them during the running and biking portions as well as the swimming, and they have held up remarkably well!! No signs of weakness or rubbing at all after 2 months of 4 day a week practices and events.

Wearing thin sooner than expected
I bought this suit for my 4--year-old because he has to wear his suit to the Y under his gym clothes for his Gym n Swim class, and regular trunks were not comfortable for him because they bunched up.The suit has worked well for our purposes for about six months of weekly wear. I did notice that the Tuga logo wore off the leg after just one or two wears, but that was no big deal to me.What I am concerned about, though, is that the fabric is starting to wear thin already (despite careful rinsing after each use). For what I paid for this product, I would have expected it to hold up much better.I've contacted Tuga via their website, I will update this review with their reply.UPDATE: I did receive a replacement from Tuga, but honestly my son had a growth spurt and outgrew the replacement after only a few wears so I couldn't say how the quality was on it.

Best swimwear for kids!
Love Tuga! Each year we buy this brand of shirt and jammers for my son. He’s a very tall and thick kid. He’s not fat just big. He often gets a rash between his legs from Board shorts or trunks. The janmers prevent chaffing and this long sleeve rash guard prevents sunburn. It’s so nice to feel confident at the beach that your kid can play all day without discomfort or sunburn. These wash great, I even dry them. This brand is amazing.
