Photo: Original Capacitor. I didn't take a pic of the new one, looks the same but slightly taller, same diameter as original. I had a Kenmore Compressor installed in about 2005, worked like a champ until this week. The unit would get the signal to turn on, but the fan didn't start spinning, and was very hot to the touch. Using a stick, I could get the fan turning, and the cooling started working. I knew from past experience that the dual run capacitor had failed or was failing. Inside the unit was a Titan HD PRCFD355A 35+5 mfd ± 5% 440/370 VAC 60/50 HZ Rated to 70ºC dual run capacitor. This Genteq/CapCom/GE replacement fit great! It was about an inch taller than the aforementioned Titan by Packard but the same diameter (about 2.125"). All the spade connectors fit right on, and there was enough clearance inside the unit for the taller size. Re-plugged the breaker and started up just great, as expected. House is chilly once again! And kudos on Amazon -- I ordered around 4pm, had it at home by 8:30pm, well worth the same-day shipping cost, and no annoying trip to the HVAC store where they hate all consumers! hahahah Seriously though, as long as this thing doesn't die in the next 16 years, I'll be thrilled. Solved my problem immediately & works great so far, just in time for the heat wave. I guessed it was the capacitor & luckily I was right. Since American made products are so limited I went with the Mexican over the Chinese... Just seems as though the majority of Chinese stuff is crap. Super easy to install, no instructions but different sites & vids online show what to do. Just make sure both the old capacitor & the new are discharged by doing the screwdriver trick or you could get shocked. This had the same specs as my old one but different dimensions (taller & more narrow) if that's the case with yours you'll have to figure out something, bend the old holder & drill another hole or get something from your hardware store you can substitute. Rated 5 years, don't know how long it will last but we will see. Company I purchased it from had a nice price as well. I highly recommend it, good luck on your fix!

At the advice of a friend with an HVAC background, I bought this capacitor hoping it would fix the issue with my C/A not working. I was able to determine that this capacitor was a match by pulling the old one out of my C/A unit and searching for the part number. From there, I was able to make sure the rest of the numbers matched. Since I have absolutely ZERO HVAC skills or experience, I took a picture of the old one with all of it's connections in tact using my phone's camera before pulling it out. That way, I could reference it when installing this new one. It worked like a charm! The only tool I needed was a pliers to remove one or two of the connections with the old one which were somewhat corroded. Buying this unit and replacing it myself was much easier than expected and saved me approximately $60 from having my HVAC company come out and do it. And ordering it online was my only option since all of the HVAC/Plumbing supply houses in my area will only sell to licensed contractors. I am so grateful that I was able to order this online at a reasonable price and replace it myself! It also arrived sooner than expected!
