HURRICANE FATS (Cole Sudden C.I.A. Thrillers) Paperback – June 6, 2017

This is another entertaining book from this author. Intricate plot, which is a plus. Quirky characters as usual, another plus. The author has a good sense of humor and the descriptions of locale are always detailed which I personally enjoy. The protagonist is not my favorite. I prefer Alton or possibly Jake, but that is just personal. Great story, that starts out a little different, but as the plot develops you see the purpose. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a good thriller.

This is a short book but a very good book i really enjoyed it if you like a lot of action you will love this

Slick as a whistle suspense, with a cast of familiar demons (vicious mobsters and their torpid minions, Ponzi scheming financiers) together with unexpected heroes and a plot with enough twists and turns to dizzy a race car driver. One heck of a lot of fun as the plot unfolds and you watch Cole Sudden's character enlarge with revelations that bend and stretch the concept of moral justification to paint a picture of a protagonist whose complexity far surpasses the one dimensional (if beloved) James Bond. I can't wait for the movie.

My favorite books are hard-core thrillers, political and military being my absolute "neatest" genres. So I was not sure what to expect. In addition, the cover art sent a less-than-desirable message. So it was a treat to find myself enjoying the book a great deal. Fair story well written.

Great read for a weekend at the lake . I finished in three days because of the intensity of this book.

I read a lot and for many years. I enjoy many authors but years ago found Michael Connelly, a writer I enjoyed like no other. I assumed I would not find another author who I so thoroughly enjoyed, but then I found Lawrence De Maria. His writing is excellent and in my opinion reaches the same high standard as Connelly. Anyone who enjoys mysteries with non-stop suspense and believable characters and plots will enjoy De Maria. I will be reading all of De Maria's novels and then, as with Connelly, waiting for his newest work to be published. I highly recommend this Author

Fast vacation read, turned into a series I didn’t expect to enjoy, but did.

As always with a di maria novel,its a fast paced compulsive read with great characters and an ingenious plot.Try his earlier books and you will become a fan.

A great book, exciting from beginning to end with an interesting twist that you don't expect when you start reading it. Totally recommended.
