Amazing piece of metal, unbelievable how metallic it was.

It's hard to review something this basic as it is what it is, but my only complaint (while it's awesome that it's there) the protective skin is a bit annoying. You are going to prep the piece prior to welding anyways, so having all of that to peel off, potentially leaving behind the adhesive put me off a bit. Yes, you can preheat the piece with a hair dryer or heat gun prior to peeling off the film, but it's inevitable there will some remaining. Otherwise, for the price and the size of this piece, I would recommend giving it a buy!

Came exactly as described.

The size was indeed 8"x8" but it definitely wasn't deburred like the description states. Found this out the hard way with my finger while removing the protective film. Ships fast which is why I chose this one, and if that's why you're choosing this one as well, go for it. Just have sandpaper or deburring tool handy. I don't regret buying this but my finger will be recovering for the next few days.

The sheet is NOT 8" x 8" but is 200mm x 200mm which is close but not what is advertised. Why is it so hard to place a true description of an item in the ad. The item description states the unit of measure is inch but it's clearly a metric part. It also states it's 1/8" thick and 3mm thick, these two sizes, while close are not the same thing. The part I needed was a sheet 8x8 not 7.875x7.875. I've ordered several of this sheets and they are all 200mm x 200mm so it's not a bad parts but a deceptive description. It would be helpful if the ad showed 200mm x 200mm x 3mm. The ad also stated the sheet is polished and deburred. The sheet is NOT deburred and has very sharp, sheared edges and corners.

This aluminum plate is advertised in the product title on Amazona as being "Finely Polished and Deburred". The edges have not been deburred at all. They are sharp and show clear shear marks. One-star rating for that aspect. However, it is an 8" x 8" x 0.125" aluminum plate, or within a 1/32" thereof, so I'll generously add a star.
