Does the job for me
The ANTELA Smart Plug is a handy, affordable way to add both remote control and real-time power tracking to your appliances. Setup through the Smart Life app is straightforward, and integration with Alexa or Google Home works reliably. Once connected, you can turn devices on or off from anywhere, schedule them to run at certain times, and see how much electricity they’re using. Energy monitoring is surprisingly useful: you can spot “phantom loads” from devices left on standby and identify which gadgets are drawing the most power. For small to medium appliances (lamps, routers, TVs, chargers, coffee machines, etc.), the plug performs well and feels safe. There are a few trade-offs: it only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (no 5 GHz), the consumption data isn’t laboratory-grade accurate, and very high-load or continuous-draw appliances may push its limits. But for normal household use, it’s solid. Bottom line: the ANTELA Smart Plug with Energy Monitor gives you reliable app and voice control plus helpful energy tracking at a very reasonable price. Great for anyone starting out with smart home gear or trying to cut down on electricity use.

Amazing!!!!!
I have now got eight of these fantastic little devices. Amazon is awash with 'smart plugs' however most of them are cheap and nasty, don't last, work intermittently etc. I've tried many of them however, finding these Antela plugs was a revelation. From the moment you take them out of the box, you can feel how solid and well made they are. Setup is super simple, download the Smart Home app, plug them in, and let them be discovered by the system. It’s that easy. Where these plugs really come into their own is the information they provide. Each one shows you the Current Consumption (mA), Power (W), Voltage (V) and total power usage (KWh) in real time. The total power consumption is stored by Month and by Day so you can go back and look at this historically as well. If you are running Home Assistant or any other home automation software, these plugs easily integrate straight into that, and all the data is available to the system. I run Home Assistant and everything in the house is controlled and monitored. These plugs make it simple and cheap to add in any piece of equipment that isn’t ‘connected’ to be controlled and monitored just if it’s mains powered. So, for instance, I have one of these connected to the Tumble Dryer so I can see just how much it’s costing to run. In summary, I can’t fault these amazing little plugs. They are worth every penny, superb quality, simple to use and do a brilliant job. I love them!

Good, Cheap, Easy
Cheap and very quick and easy to get connected. The only downside I find is the one I have in my kitchen doesn’t manage to pickup the Wi-Fi signal so it constantly drops out and for the past few weeks has not managed to update the energy usage. It is quite far from the router so I won’t actually dock points for this, most Wi-Fi devices don’t pickup the signal in there other than my phone and my RasPi. The app is great, fast and easy to use. The day by day energy monitoring is also superb. Only thing I really would like to see added is a safety lock feature in the advanced settings of the device. A little toggle switch to disable the main on off button from the main tile menu, and the dedicated device page. I have my computer plugged in to one of these so I can monitor the power usage, and I feel it’s only a matter of time before I accidentally turn off the wrong device. If they can fix that and also have the device store power usage data and update the app on next connection, then I would up this to 5/5 stars. For now though it gets a strong 4. Will likely buy more of these in the future if I find a need for them.

Highly recommended
The best things ever I use these in my kids devices to put timers on so they not up in their games and watching tv all night they don’t know about the plugs so they are amazing to stop them asking for 5more minutes as they do t get that option, great price, easy to set up, nice to get control bed at bed time 🙌🏽

Automation without any hassle
Works with Alexa and Home Assistant to manage and monitor power and energy consumption as well as turning devices on and off. Easy to install and much better value than the ones available in DIY stores.

Too many issues, don’t buy.
I already own an Amazon branded smart plug and it’s so handy, I thought I’d buy more. However at £25 a pop, they aren’t cheap so I looked for alternatives. These were a 4 pack for around £36 and I wish I hadn’t bothered. Day one, I set them up and created a living room ‘scene’ to switch two lamps and the Christmas lights on and off. It all worked perfectly, the plug used for my dehumidifier showed energy consumption and the SmartLife app was easy to use. Then it started playing up. Waking up on day 2, I laid in bed and grabbed my phone to switch on the lights and switch off my dehumidifier. Nothing. All plugs are offline, then they pop online but their status (on/off) is the wrong way round. Oh well, maybe a glitch. But no, it’s been like that for nearly two weeks. It takes an eternity to fire up and bring the plugs ‘online’ and even then the status is wrong and my scene for all lights hasn’t worked again ONCE since the first night. I’ve tried re-connecting them several times, redownload the app, restart my WiFi router, all sorts and they very rarely work and when they do , it just isn’t quick enough. Even the energy consumption has stopped working for some reason. These plugs are useless, whilst my single Amazon brand plug plods along fine, never a connection or status issue in or with the Alexa app. Don’t bother with these, just wait for the Amazon ones to come on sale. I usually spend so long waiting for the plugs to come online that I end up flicking them off by hand, which completely defeats the purpose of them. If I hadn’t foolishly thrown the box away with a load of other Christmas junk I’d have sent them back for a refund.
