It stopped generate chlorine after one pool season.
On my second pool season this device stopped to work. All lights are on, including super chlorine, but doesn't generate any chlorine. Checked with different test strip right on discharge hose. So expensive and unreliable at all. It is in a way cheaper just to buy stabilized chlorine and add manually. There is no option to claim problem with order on amazon after 1 year of purchase. And all of this for 1400CAD? No thanks, never again. Waste of money

Sparkling clear water
This product replaces an old Intex chlorinating unit. The installation was very easy. All I can say is wow, what a difference. The pool water was clear before, but now you can really see a difference in the clarity. The timer in the control box makes pool maintenance easier, and the digital display tells you what you the pool temperature, salt level, and the basic health of the cell that clorinates the water. Loving it so far.

Tired of the hassle of maintaining your pool?
I’ve had my 18 foot round above ground pool for about 8 years. The past two seasons no matter how much I maintained my pool I had major issues with algae. I spent hundreds of dollars per year dumping chemicals into the pool so we could swim. I didn’t like using the chemicals and they never kept the pool clear for more than a few days. All the trips to test the water at the local pool store didn’t help. This year my final choice before taking down the pool was to switch to salt. Three months in and crystal clear water from the start. I think my wife is getting tired of me saying I can’t believe how clean and clear the water has been. I added salt once since the change at a cost of 11.00. I can’t say enough about how happy I am with our purchase. I would recommend to anyone. Easy installation and the controller works better than my old timer. Great purchase.

After some initial challenges this system works beautifully!!!
I will be up front, we had some nightmares out of the gate. Install was easy enough, but after 1 day running the water turned orange. The cause was the fact that our town has very hard water and the minerals in the water turned color through the system. Then after treating the pool to get the color out the system kept reading "No Flow"...it was because the minerals needed to get backwashed out of the filter. A phone call to the manufacturer resulted in helpful service to guide us and after backwashing the minerals out of the filter we have had absolutely no issues.Three months later the pool is crystal clear, we only have had to add a little more salt after a couple weeks of excessive downpours from thunderstorms (over 10" on rain in a week overflowed water out of the pool). We run the pool vacuum over the bottom once a week and we backwash the filter once a week a week. Other than that the only thing we do is occasionally run the pool brush across the bottom of the pool and any leaves that have fallen to bottom dissolve into the salt water. And the water is CRYSTAL CLEAR all the time. No matter how many people we've had in, or during periods of no use the water clarity is consistently perfect. We have previously used other methods and never have had water this clear.I would also be remiss if I didn't point out that the water is much softer than before (note my comment about the hard water above) the water almost feels "silky" by comparison to what it was before. Also, the naturally generated chlorine from the system really is much milder than when you add chemical chlorine. My kids can go under water without goggles and don' get bloodshot eyes, towels and suits haven't faded and don't reek of chlorine after they dry and the water is much easier on hair and skin (doesn't dry it out like harsh chemicals). The final point that makes this a win, with the price we paid the system will pay for itself in the first season simply through the amount of chemical we do not have to buy. So, it's practically maintenance free, it's cost effective and gives you better water quality. I wish we had gone to this system when we first got the pool.
