Dog Cat Elizabethan Collar Anti-Bite Wound-Recovery Soft Translucent, XS

My 85lb pit bull had surgery on his face & needed a cone to prevent scratching the stitches...the cone from the vet was awful: It was too long so he bumped into everything, had tabs for adjusting that my dog could bite at/rip off, the sharp edges cut into his chest and hurt people's legs and, sharp pieces broke off - I had to duck tape it after 1 day! This cone isn't longer than necessary so my dog wasn't smashing into everything and more importantly, the soft fabric piping around the edges prevented cutting into his skin or people's legs. Also, adjustable industrial strength Velcro makes it a perfect fit that won't come lose or be torn off by your dog. So much better than the one the vet gave us. In fact, when my vet saw this cone and learned what I paid (slightly less than theirs), they looked up this one to start using at their practice!

Had the collar ten minutes and it broke in pieces. Very disappointed. Loved the size but I needed it to be sturdy.

This color did stop my cat from scratching his ears. The only thing is that the sticker says the inside is the side with the scratchy velcro and it actually caused his ears to bleed. I turned it inside out so the soft velcro was on the inside and it no longer made him bleed. So be sure you put the scratchy velcro on the outside.

This just didn't work out for my dog. First of all, what's with the cheap sticker over the sewn-in Velcro panel? I'd rather see the panel than a sticker that is going to get dirty, wrinkled and worn as the pet wears the item, drinks water, drools, etc. That sticker cannot be cleaned or removed. It's not a low-tack sticker that would peel off without leaving a mess, and Goo Gone could get all in the Velcro. Just no way to get rid of it. If a sticker had to be there to protect the seaming, a high-gloss version that could be wiped would be preferred. This had a rough seam at the corner where it connects to the dog's neck--would cause abrasions. Also, my dog is a short-nose breed, and this just extended way too far out past his face. He had a hard time with it, wouldn't be able to eat or drink with it. Just not the right product.

I JUST got it and put it on my 85 lb Black Lab Mix. We are thrilled. So easy to put on and take off. It's clearly comfortable since no edges on the inside, and not flimsy. Just be sure to have the rough velcro on the outside so not scraping against your dog's face. Her neck measures 21" so the XXL+ is perfect, although I have no idea what the difference between it and the XXL without "+" since both state same measuremet range. Thank you, thank you!

These do not reach out long enough to work. The description of sizing is too small. I bought and returned a small and the medium does not work either. I will not bother to return it rather just throw it away.

Good quality... But my cat could still lick her wounds. I returned this item. Just go to your vet to get one fitted for your pet, mine did it for just the cost of the cone.

Not as big as thought it would be on her. Just barely fits. I measured her neck and it was supposed to be an inch too big but I have to set it on the very edge of the velcro to fit. I serves its purpose. Thanks. Communication with seller A+++++++
