Good performance for the money
I have been using this in my system for a few days so far. I love the overall build and look as soon as I got it out of the packaging. Initial setup was pretty straight forward using the SWOS. I know some people don't like the SWOS but I have used other web-based management systems on switches and this was better then others I have used. I setup this with multiple VLAN's and DHCP snooping and it is handling all of that well. I connected the 10Gb up-links using Ipolex DAC cables which were recognized and also worked with my Solarflare NICs and I was able to saturate the link at 9.6GB with iperf using default settings with UDP (which I was using an Intel Pentium 5400 on one end so this was probably limited by the processor and not the switch). Latency and jitter were low, and the switch has been staying under 60 degrees Celsius so far. I have been very happy with the performance of this switch and you cannot go wrong with this at this price point.

Excellent unit... I now have 3 of these units... Fiber Works great
Highly recommend... I use at a couple remote locations for the 1G and 100mb data throughput... These units work great and are easy to manage. I would highly recommend.. I really like connecting these on a fiber switch and it works great and incredibly fast on my LAN!

Powerful Router for the price
I've had this switch for about a year. For the first few months, I used it as a dummy-switch. As time progressed, I started to put some stress on the switch by adding several vlans and pushing traffic through it. This switch held up to the test. Didn't get too hot, no noise, and segmentation was sound. For those looking for a router, this is not the device for you. For those looking for a smart switch, multiple vlans, segmentation, LAG, and port isolation, THIS IS THE SWITCH FOR YOU. I highly recommend this switch for SO/HO use. It's more than worth it.

Doesnt get hot. Great value!
This is an excellent switch. Doesnt get hot at all, not sure what others are talking about? Interface is clean and easy to use compared to others like Dell. 10gb fiber works great with finsar transceivers that are cheap. All in all the best value at this price for its features. FYI in case mikrotek is reading, if you put 2x more 10gb ports on it, I would pay $50 more.

Best price 10GB/s switch
Very nice item. give you 10Gb/s switch at affordable price. the web base management is very useful and have a very good features for this price. When arrived i updated the firmware to the latest 2.8 as other says and had no issues with it, everything work great. The switch have very good compatibility with all the SFP+ transceivers i tried. The switch is fanless but do get a little hot mine was around 60-70°C when idle. The LAG/port aggregation work i connected 4 port Intel I350-T4v2 NIC to the switch and made a 4Gbps link with no problem. I would love if Mikrotik will also make a 4 SFP+ switch at affordable price also like this one.

Decently priced full-featured managed switch, with the usual Mikrotik quirks
This is by far the best option for the price if you want it’s feature-set without buying loud used enterprise gear or sketchy devices from overseas. The web interface is good, but there’s no console, and you never quite shake the feeling that’s it’s a product made by talented and dedicated people, but ones that are still working out of a garage. Firmware and security updates will be posted for the long haul, it runs at full speed, and it does its job. If you need good but slightly weird hardware for a reasonable price, Mikrotik is the only game in town.

It's a Mikrotik and I LOVE it!
This is the first switch of it's size I have bought for home office and I am completely satisfied! I'm using both SFP ports without issue and using cables bought here on https://amazon.com. I have a 10GB fiber SFP cable from the switch (in the office) to my Mikrotik RB5009 router, in the living room and performance beats my expectations! The second is a 1GB copper SFP to a Mikrotik RB260GS switch which I use to segregate WiFi for IoT and performance is great there as well. If you made it here you probably know that I do like Mikrotik products. However, any cons? Well by far the only thing I could say is that I have a hard time understanding VLAN configuration on MT switches. I know it well enough that I was able to configure 3 VLANs but I constantly have to refer to online docs.

Switch itself works fine, the software on the other hand...
Just to be clear the hardware works just fine. The software is just infuriating to deal with. Sometimes it detects the switch on the network, other times it decides it doesn't exist. This makes managing a network easily and changing settings for said network difficult. Whenever I need to access the settings I have to wait for an undetermined amount of time for the software to detect the switch before *maybe* connecting to it, and if it fails I'll have to do it again and again. Once there I can change settings just fine, but getting there is an absolute pain and a waste of time. Since the hardware works and I'm strapped for cash at the moment I'll keep using it, BUT to any new buyers: Please look elsewhere, the software is just awful

I have a few devices with multi Ethernet ports, using the LACP features to aggregate bandwidth, also this switch has 2 SFP+ ports allowing me to add module supporting up to 10Gbps later. It has some performance issues previously but after upgrading to latest firmware problem gone, also this switch is passive cooling (no fan), it might run a little hot in room without ventilation but it's still running fine (system temperature 75-78 Celsius), highly recommended for SOHO or small business.

I've bought network switches. This is probably the worst one ever. Not going to buy anything from them again.

Semplice Switch Managed.
