DARK ROAST

Good coffee but price has increased
Great tasting, smooth coffee with no sour after-taste. Better than some of the bigger brands like Jacobs, Taylors and Lavazzo. Ethically farmed and environmentally friendly pods, which ticks the boxes of the ESG conscious among us.As has been noted by other customers, the pods seem to hinder the flowrate of water using the Nespresso machine. Frustratingly, the price has also hiked in the last two weeks - I bought 60 dark roast pods for £16.50 on 21 August, only to now discover a 25% increase to £21.50. As a small, growing company in a very competitive market I would have thought that keeping prices low would be a priority for customer retention!

Nice try but not Nespresso
I have bought a lot alternatives to Nespresso to try the market. With these need two for a larger cup or its a small espresso the hot water starts to run clear before machine has finished. Some capsules do not flow and need to break the seal yourself see pic. Then you have to fish them out and run through again which is the last thing you need first thing in the morning.Nespresso are the only ones so far to do it properly no fuss full cup. I am starting to think it's not worth the saving.

No taste; couldn’t even tell I was drinking coffee.
Buy this coffee if you do not want to actually be able to taste coffee. These are so weak and void of any flavor I may as well have just had hot water and milk...really disappointed as I was quite keen to support a sustainable brand but these pods will leave a coffee lover loathing!

Acceptable.
I found the coffee acceptable but not as intense as similarly rated Nespresso coffee. You get used to the taste and it is quite acceptable to drink but lacks oomph. The packaging is excellent.
