Ordered these blackout shades for my toddlers room and they are exactly what we needed.Easy to cut and easy to install.The back side is white Not that tacky silver foil that most other brands have.Most importantly, these DO NOT have a chemical smell !!!I mention this because the previous brand I ordered came with a potent chemical smell, I literally got a headache as soon as I opened the package.Mahalo cost a bit more but it’s worth it !

Unfortunately, I’m disappointed with this product. After searching for sometime, I finally decided to order these to put these up in my son’s bedroom. But upon arrival, I noticed the packaging had some indentations. I disregarded the packaging because I was so excited to finally get these up that upon doing so I noticed there were some defects. I still kept going but soon realized some of them were actual small punctures. Which of course defeats the purpose of “blackout blinds”. Such a shame because without these defects I would have really liked to continue to use these.

While doing a project in our nursery, we needed to move our little one to our room. We don’t have black out curtains in our room and needed something to provide us with darkness for a week. This was the answer to our problem. It’s simple design and idea to keep sunlight from shining through your windows, that won’t break the bank. It helped our little one sleep on a room that was normally filled with sunlight.

Whether you are someone who works nights (like I have as a nurse) or want your sweet little bundle's room to be pitch black, these are the blinds for you!I've purchased other "blackout curtains" from other sellers and have been really let down, but these blinds are the best I've seen!This is essentially a large tarp (that's still aesthetically pleasing) that you customize to fit your desired window. You secure the blind to the window using velcro strips around the entire perimeter of the window. You can even cut the tarp to fit to your window which is what my husband and I had to do. We got the black and white blind and we tapped the two pieces of blind with black electrical tape and it looks seamless!I will be recommending this product to all of my friends (especially those expecting) and I must also add that the customer service is fantastic as well (I had a few questions) check them out on Instagram!

I like that the plastic is supposed to be compostable (keyword there is industrially), the pattern is nice and it doesn’t smell bad. However, the blind comes tightly folded and the chipped occurrences that are supposed to be rare and won’t affect the use of the blind actually cut two small holes through mine which some light light in. The holes aren’t huge but for such a high cost item I’d expect no holes. I think this is overpriced for a solution that you could velcro yourself, but this is still a nice concept and design and comes with everything you might need. If the blind plastic was slightly more flexible it wouldn’t chip, I think. I would also add a faint grid so that it’s easier to cut in a straight line. Overall I’d buy this item again just cause I’m a desperate parent procuring my baby’s sleep and this was a good concept, albeit overpriced.*The customer service was great. Owner really cares about customer satisfaction and reached out to me offering a refund or a replacement free of charge. So while you’re paying a high priced item they make sure you are satisfied with the product.

After trying foil, trash sacks, and black out curtains, this is the only thing that has actually worked! Additionally, this is a small company who really cares about their product and the environment, unlike half of the mass produced junk on Amazon that will definitely end up in a landfill. Worth every penny!

I really like the design choices they made for the nursery rooms. The light block works REALLY well if you can get a product from them that doesn’t have a slit or 2. We were really bummed to find we paid $70 for something so thin (doesn’t change the light coming in or not) and easily able to tear. The Post office sent the box bare and there was a giant puncture in the box. Leaving a large tear right down the middle of the product. We went to put it up and so much light was coming through it wasn’t useable. So much money sadly for nothing

I have tried everything you can think of to blackout my babies rooms as I’m passionate about my honeys having the best sleep possible. Ergo pouch blockout blinds, aluminium foil, sleepy sundays, tommee tippee portable blinds and even Kmart contact paper. All of which did an okay job, some more than others, but would still have light shining through gaps and even though they were classed as “removable” it would be such a pain to put on that you wouldn’t even bother taking them off throughout the day to let light in because you didn’t want to deal with putting them back on.But OH MY GOD, finally! I have found a blind that is SO easy to apply that I don’t have to worry about taking it down to let light in because it takes 2 seconds to put back up and doesn’t let any light in AT ALL. I bought the black and white blind which for me is great as during winter I can put the black on the outside to attract heat to try and heat up the room and during summer I can turn it over so the white doesn’t attract the heat.Super stoked with this product. I’ll be taking my sons awful looking aluminium off his window and replacing it with one of these also.
