This has worked very well for me... It was given to me as a gift from my mom who had one of the original versions from the original manufacturer which was bought by this company and I have used both and them seem to be equal and therefore I'd recommend it

One of our sons gifted the Vinturi Traditional Lever with wine corkscrew and foil cutter over 8 years ago. I was initially apprehensive to use the product because of the cost but once we cracked the box open it was love at first sip. The first corkscrew last roughly 5 years and we replaced it with the second corkscrew which came with the kit. At the end, the moving mechanism weakened after repeated use. The annual cost of purchasing this product averaged approximately $12 per year. We used it 2-3 times per week and more often during holiday seasons. All in all, we strongly recommend this product for SERIOUS wine bottle opening experiences.

THIS PRODUCT IS BEAUTIFUL TO LOOK AT. OVER ENGINEERED BUT NOT VERY FRIENDLY TO USE. THE HEAVINESS OF THE OPENER CAN MAKE THE WHOLE PROCESS CLUMSY..

Horrible product. Never worked and we can’t return it because it’s too late. Do not purchase.

After successfully opening perhaps 100 bottles of wine, it simply stoped working. This was not caused by a bent cork screw, which is easily replaced (they give you an extra). The mechanism that releases the lower chuck and allows the cork to be pulled out simply wore out. Unless you have studied how these things work, what I wrote is likely meaningless, but the bottom line is, it wore out prematurely and there is no way to replace what is worn. Poor quality control.

It wears out fast. Mine lasted for a year and then it stopped pulling the cork out. Get a $10 corkscrew at the liquor store - those will survive a nuclear blast.
