Installed in our bathroom for safety and are really pleased with them. The anti slip rubber grip is such as improvement over other styles. Solid metal or plastic bars are hard to grip tightly. They are no so big around so you can easily get your hands around the bars. These work perfectly to give you a real sense of security since your hands don't easily lose their grip on them. My contractor had told me you couldn't find these bars with the rubber grips on them anymore but I found them on Amazon. He was impressed with how well made these were when he installed them.

These were easy to install (installed next to the toilets) and added a ton of safety for an elderly parent.

The bars came with a complete set of.molly mounts, my intention was to mount the bars into wall studs. I went to a hardware store and bought 6 wood screws and mounted one of the bars. The bar works fine and the rubber grip is very convenient. The bar feels very solid and secure mounted on wall studs. The diameter of the bar is very good for my wife's smaller hands. She likes the rubber grip.

One of our family members has intermittent knee pain and constant back pain. This bar is perfect for assisting with sitting down and standing up from the toilet in the primary bathroom. We are planning to use the other bar that came in the same pack for assistance with the steps from the kitchen into the garage. Very sturdy and easy to install.

I thought that I needed to put some grab bars in my shower, so I chose these. There are some good points and some not so good. They feel very comfortable in my hand, a nice fit. They seem adequate. I like the black color. The color seems to be painted on and when I unpacked them a small amount of paint had already been scraped off in a couple of places. The mounting plates are of a relatively thin stamped metal and are held on by one bolt for each end of the bar. I found that in order to mount the plates on the tile wall in my shower I needed to remove some of the tile, make a hole, so that the bolt holding the mounting plate would be recessed and the mounting plate could be flush on the wall. The screws and plastic anchors provided, I think that those would be for decorative use. If an adult needs to use this bar, the bar will need to be firmly attached to the wall. I bought some much more heavy duty screws and screwed directly into the wall framing behind the tile and backer. I also bought some silicone adhesive to seal everything so that water from the shower won’t get through the screw holes and void that I made for the bolts that hold the mounting plates onto the bars. An advantage of this type of mounting plate is that it can be rotated, which I did, in order to align the screws will the framing. A disadvantage is that it will support much less weight than a fixed mounting plate made of heavier steel. All that being said, I liked them well enough so that I just bought another pair.
