Easier if you are handy with soldering but not impossible to bring life back into an older shaver
I have a Norelco 7825 shaver for the past 25+ years. Not bad considering I only have to shave every other day. If you are reading this, you either have a shaver that the batter is not holding much of a charge or you want to know how to fix the one you have.Youtube has plenty of videos on how to do this replacement even though the video may not be of the exact shaver, the process is pretty much the same. For me, this was my findings. Taking apart the shaver is very easy. Two screws, remove the cover/side burn trimmer, a couple of metal supports, and there you have the circuit board and batteries exposed. Once you life the circuit board, you will see where the DC motor wires connect towards the front of the circuit board and the battery leads just behind those connections. When desoldering the battery connection be careful not to get some flux onto the surface between the battery + connection and the motor solder point. If you, like a few reviewers here, the shaver will continue to run even if you press the power button. Why? Because you have just basically directly connected the battery to to motor. It happened to me so i know. I just scraped off the excess flux/solder the bridged the connection and it was fine. On my shaver, the leads off the new batteries were too short. So I ended up cutting the leads off the old battery with a dremel. This left some leads sticking up to solder the old/new ones together.Same charger seemed to work fine, although NiMH charging requirements are slightly different than that if NiCads, for its intent and purposes, should be no real world problems.Recommended to purchase this if you are comfortable with basic soldering and hand tools. No need to replace the shaver if all else considered is working fine.

Perfect fit
Perfect match for my old Norelco razor. Not an easy installation if you don’t completely suck out the old solder where the battery tabs go through the circuit board as the tabs are very thin/ bend easy. Fun to do the repair anyways. Make sure you have a solder sucking tool!!!

Direct replacement for Wahl 9649 trimmer
It was a direct replacement for Wahl 9649 trimmer, it is 2000 mAh as opposed to 1500 mAh which is an improvement. Solders in exactly the same. I noticed some reviews were negative due to having to solder, this is a drop in replacement for the original which requires soldering.

These are NOT NiCD batteries, so don't advertise these as NICD replacements!!!!
These batteries are Ni-MH batteries that won't work with my vintage Norelco shaver (The picture shows that they are NI-MH batteries, so partially my error not looking closely enough to the picture). In the product description, it says these can replace 1.2 volt AA NiCD batteries 1000mAh or less. This is wrong since my Norelco shaver was designed for NiCD batteries , and will not charge NI-MH properly. For the price, it wasn't worth my effort to complain to the Seller about this. This was the first time I tried non Panasonic NiCD batterie for my shaver. I have gotten 4 to 5 years of life out of genuine Panasonic NiCD batteries (my shaver is 25 years old) , so it was stupid of me to try some "cheaper" brand.

Great, So Far.
Over the years, I've tried a few replacement cells in my 25+ year old Norelco razor. None have held up or had the capacity of the originals. The most recent Ni-Cads I bought through Amazon failed quickly after the first or second recharge. My memory may be flawed, but this Ni-Mh battery performs better than the original OEM part. The solder tabs lined up perfectly with the circuit board. So, if you have a basic mechanical aptitude, and skills the installation should go quite smoothly.I will adjust this review if they fail prematurely.
