How do I know what length of cane I need?

The standard length is 36", but you may need a custom fit. To determine the length needed, you can measure your old cane, consult your therapist, or measure the distance from your wrist bone to the floor while your hand is hanging loose and relaxed.

What can I do if I need a cane shorter than 36"?

Standard Asterom canes are sold as the most commonly used length of 36". If you need a shorter cane, you can cut it yourself using a wood saw or order a custom-length cane (handling time is about 4-5 weeks). Read below how to order a custom cane.

What can I do if I need a cane longer than 36"?

We can make custom canes up to 41" long. Please note that the handling time for custom orders is about 4-5 weeks. Read below how to order a custom cane.

How can I order a custom-length cane?

To order a custom length, please send us a message before placing your order. To send us a private message, click on the word "Asterom" above the "Return Policy" section; then click the appropriate button on the next page.

Can I replace the rubber cane tip with a different tip or with a quad base?

Yes. You can replace the cane tip with any other tip that has an internal diameter of 7/8". Please note that you will receive one spare cane tip free with your cane; we also sell wide-base cane tips for our canes.
