My son loves it!
My 9 year old son loves swords. He got the Disguise brand Master Sword last year for Halloween. He carries it with him all the time, slung on his back just like Link. He wanted a pirate sword so he saved up to buy this one as well. We were not disappointed by the quality or the look of the sword. He wears this one tied around his waste every where he goes. Thank you Disguise for making such wonderful play swords!

Great for Pirate Costume
After reading the reviews, I decided to give this a try for a pirate costume. The quality is decent for the price; i'd say this is worth it.

Expensive, but quality can’t be beat
It’s a good plastic sword and hilt. It’s sturdy and a nice size and the seams from machining aren’t too apparent.Wish it costed less, but it’s a great sword in a pinch.

For jack sparrow impersonator's
So i took some photos for comparison between my indy magnoli sparrow cutlass (real sword replica) and this one. As you can see its just barely shorter in length. I didn't give a full 5 stars because obviously its made of a cheaper plastic, so the durability and sturdiness will only last if you don't actually hit it on things. For accuracy i have to say its very accurate. With the right paint job, nobody will ever be able to tell its a plastic sword unless they feel it (Its very light). It comes with a scabbard/sheathe however I'll be using my real leather one. It fits really really snug in the magnoli scabbard. Enough so that it may be troublesome to pull out quickly since its thicker then the real blade. But at least its not going anywhere. I highly recommend this purchase if you want a con/event safe sword that doesn't weigh you down for those long days of entertaining. You'll have to fill in the 2 screw holes on the handle. Sand down the bubble mark on the blade near the guard seam and possibly sand the edges on both the guard/handle and pommel to give a true seamless effect. But given the price of the sword, a little paint and some filler, this is one piece anyone can do themselves.

Great quality for the price
This has held up nicely to my rough 5 year old pirate. Great buy

Great product
I bought this sword for my Halloween costume last year and I love it. It’s great quality for its price it, look real enough that it works for the costume but fake enough that people won’t think it’s a real weapon. It is light weight and easy to carry. Overall great product would but again.

For the money and with a little creativity.. sky's the limit
For the money ($20) and some model paint I had laying around... this was the Perfect Piece to round out my killer Jack Sparrow Halloween outfit. I did have to drop some extra dough on some rub'n buff ($8?) and some poly spray ($10?) for durability but very happy with the result.Used a hot glue gun to fill in the holes on the handle (We pirates are some cheap bastards). Sanded the entire piece so the paint would adhere well (wear a mask you scabby sea basses) and with some reference photos I put my own spin on Captain Jack Sparrow's blade. Went with a lighter wood handle so it would pop as I'm downing me ales in the dark inns down near the harbor. OH, and I added a bandolier, which I haven't distressed yet, for the added look.Won 1ST Place ($500) for my costume last time I wore it out (years ago!!!) hoping for more booty next time!!! Bottom line- if you're the least bit creative and can spare the $20.. GO FOR THIS item.-A. in N.Y.C..
