For the Price, this is a Dream Phone
I bought this Moto g 6G 2022 model ...without even considering an alternative .... to replace a 2018 model of the same phone that had developed an electrical problem. It is an incredibly feature-rich marvel that has everything you would get in an I-phone, at 1/4 the price. It would probably take more than a whole day to explore this amazing device in some detail, but it is pretty intuitive. Whenever I made a mistake in getting it set up, the Help menu has clear and complete answers for every little issue I ran into. My old phone was inoperative so, I manually re-entered all my most important personal contacts, only to find out later on that I needed not have done that, for I was able to transfer all of them via Google. Pairing the phone with my car audio system was a snap as well. Not that I needed another camera ... I have four "real" ones ... but this phone has a 50 MP one with 4 lenses in the rear, plus a front-facing one for selfies., Nor did I really need a mini tablet PC ... i have 2 desktops, a laptop and a tablet. But this phone does everything a PC can do, only faster ... texting, e-mails, news, streaming videos, access to any Website, you name it, it does it. In a word, I am enthusiasticallly embracing this new toy and will continue to explore all the features I have yet to try. For $300, you can't beat the value! '

Great buy for the price update
This is my main phone. I've now had it for over a month. As you read on you'll see my impressions after 2 weeks. I just want to add, I am thrilled with this phone after over a month and lots of use. Battery is great, not two days, but a whole day. Everything about it very good. Of course, I don't know about longevity, but if this phone continues for a year or so as it is now it will above 5 stars to me. I've had this about 2 weeks. I tried 2 other phones and returned them without any hassle. Thank you Amazon. But this phone was under $200 and I'm very happy with it. The 6 gb ram is very efficient and the 256 gb storage is more than enough plus I get to keep photos and docs on an SD card. I don't play games beyond solitaire and gin rummy so a super phone with high end specs for sophisticated games is obviously not a priority. I read a lot so I'll have a book, dictionary, Wikipedia, email, and text open at same time and there is no lag when switching between apps. Photos are fine for me. Not and expert photographer so was not looking for phone to double as top of line camera. But photos are excellent for my standards. Screen is bright and clear. It has good receiver for phone calls, I'm on Tello. Calls are clear and not one drop so far. I have another phone other than Motorola that drops calls. I contribute the drops to the receiver unit in the phone. I have two Motorola cells and both have good receiver capabilities. Wifi is both 5g and 2.4g and again, great speedy connection. I use ATT wifi. I also use the phone to keep track of my steps. That's important to me. It is very accurate if that's a priority to you. Also it connects to my Samsung Galaxy Watch with no problems. The 6.5 inch screen is a perfect size for me. My only wish is that it were a bit lighter, but not as heavy as the Moto G stylus I also have. Overall, if you're looking for an above average phone with good battery life and under or near $200 I would recommend the Moto G 5g.

Good Phone but...
NOTE EDITS BELOW ORIGINAL REVIEW: I like the phone but to be honest, the battery barely lasts the day and there is no way it would make two days. The battery is like an old phone requiring charging overnight and once during the day. I bought one for me, the one I am referring to. I just got one for my wife. We'll see how her battery life lasts. I may have to trade this one in. EDIT 1: My wife and I have been using two of these phones for a month now. We have noted several things. First, neither phone has a charge life of two days. Note also that we do not watch movies or listen to music on our phones. We do use the phones for reading news and the occasional video found there. We don't YouTube. It appears that an overnight charge, waking up to 100% will last a day with moderate usage. Second, the phones charge REALLY SLOW compared to other phones we have owned. We have an electrical outlet in the kitchen with with two USB charging ports built in. In the past we have had Samsung and Nokia phones. These ports charged both brands surprisingly fast. They charge our iPads surprisingly fast. They charge these Motorola phones SLOW. Third, I have tried multiple charging equipment and cable configurations with the same result. These phones charge very slowly compared to other phones and tablets. MY (CURRENT CONCLUSION): If you use your phone a lot for calls, texting and email it is borderline. An overnight charge should get you through the day. If you watch movies, lots of video media, listen to music along with all the other more traditional uses of cell phones I doubt it will get you through the day without requiring a recharge. IF you do require a recharge during the day, understand that it probably will take more time than you are used to. I will probably just keep the phone since it hasn't presented any serious disadvantages for my usage profile. But knowing what I know today, I probably wouldn't have bought this phone. The funny thing is, my first smart phone was a Motorola and IIRC, my second one was too. I don't remember having these battery issues. But I might not have known any better back then.

Excellent upgrade
My Moto E4+ running Android 7.1 worked fine, but too many critical apps (banking, travel) dropped support for 7.1 so I went looking for an upgrade. I wanted something that would work with T-Mobile LTE band 71 and this phone supports it. 5G is a plus as well. Activation was literally as easy as swapping my current SIM and turning it on. I was able to transfer most apps and data from my E4+ with the underlying Android tools, although at least one MFA token app did not transfer my latest updates. (That's an Android issue, not a problem with the phone.) Android 12 took a little getting used to, but it's the same basic idea. Battery life is just as good as my E4+, and is a primary reason I stick with these Moto phones. Reception is similar. This phone has more Moto branding and what might be a little more bloatware than my E4+, but it's not obtrusive and I haven't felt any need to disable it. It's NOTHING like the bloatware you get on a Samsung device. The phone reports "5G" and "5G+" in the status bar when in fact it is not connecting to 5G bands, but 4G bands. This is a known marketing bodge by T-Mobile (and other carriers, AT&T is the worst). But Lenovo lists the actual 5G radio bands in this phone's specs, so I feel future proofed. If you're curious about that, install the SignalSpy app and check your local bands. I'm using the Red Pocket MVNO and SIMs to access T-Mobile's network and this phone works perfectly. As long as Lenovo makes these great unlocked Moto phones, I'll keep using them. Oh, and it's priced very reasonably, too.

Great Unlocked Motorola
So after complications ordering a phone through a carrier I decided to check out the Amazon options. My husband had gotten this phone through the carrier and it's an upgraded version of our previous phones. For Android, Motorola seems to be more reliable. I try to get newer versions so the phone itself will last longer through network upgrades. This phone has everything I needed. It's unlocked to use with any carrier sim card, it has Bluetooth, WiFi calling capabilities, fast processor for emails, Internet usage and streaming, great camera, and ease of transferring all my apps from my other phone. (I did have to lookup those last steps online but then it was very simple.) I also had a service provider rep's help to get my service (new service ordered online) working. He was able to do this by installing a new SIM card (even though the one I had received was new, I just couldn't get it to work and neither could reps over the phone.) It was so great he took that extra step without making a sale himself! AT&T rep. I've had the phone this past week and it's working great. The only issue I've had is when walking from inside to outside, a call was dropped, but somehow it couldn't switch seamlessly from WiFi to service without dropping the call. I'm still looking into settings for that but it's a minor thing to be aware of. Two phones ago, my other phone did that seamlessly. Could be the phone or the carrier. My phone finally works indoors where my previous phone did not. I would recommend this phone Moto g 5g 2022 for anyone familiar with Android and looking for something simple that works with features you're used to. I'm very happy with it!

***UPDATED*** WiFi Calling Not working with Android 12 (Fixed)
---Original problem / review--- I signup for cell service with Tello Mobile. I really need WiFi calling but it doesn't work on my Moto G 5G. I can put the Tello Network supplied SIM from the Moto G 5G into my Moto G Pure (with Android 11) and Wifi calling works great. Move the SIM back to the Moto G 5G (with Android 12) and WiFi calling fails again. I wish I could get Android 12 replaced with Android 11. Do some reading on the Web and you will see that Android 12 has a lot of bugs. I've been using Motorola for years but I'm sorry I purchased this phone. ***I have updated this review*** I was using T-Mobile towers via Tello Mobile Network. The Tello WiFi calling feature would NOT work on this phone using Android 12. I could move the same Tello SIM card to another phone, using Android 11, and WiFi calling would work as expected. It was assumed there was something wrong with the new Android 12. Tello said I would have to wait for an update to the Android 12 operating system. I checked with Motorola and they said they didn't know when (or if) there would be an update to Android 12. As a test I moved a Spectrum phone network SIM card I had to this phone. WiFi calling immediately started working on Android 12 using this phone and the Spectrum Network (Verizon). I reported this to Tello Mobile and they started trying to fix their system. As of this writing they had failed to correct the problem. I couldn't wait on them any longer so I changed my carrier service to Spectrum Mobile and ported in my phone number. Now the phone works great. Sorry I doubted you Motorola. If you want to use Tello Mobile give them a call, they may have this fixed by now. JTM

Great Phone. Great price. Updated to Android 13. Good job, Moto!
I will never buy another iPhone again. I think that's all the positive you need to know, and that says alot. EDIT: 7-13-23. This phone came with Android 11. It updated to 12 in June and then updated to Android 13 on July 13. You will still get "security" updates in 2023 and maybe until 2025, if that's important to you. SOMETHING YOU MIGHT NOT LIKE: My only--and read ONLY--two pet peeves about this phone is that I have to tap 3, and sometimes 4 times, to turn the internet on or off. If I want to quickly turn the internet on/off like I can with the bluetooth, why can I not just pull down one screen, hit one button and be done like on my samsung and iPhone? And I cannot double-tap on the screen to lock it. or unlock it Users have asked for this feature for at least two years.

Works just as well as any high-end phone
4 1/2 stars ... I'm coming from a Samsung S8, which I love but it's starting to get sluggish after 4 years. But it was perfect size. Finding another phone that small is next to impossible these days. After doing a lot of looking at reviews and what I was looking for in a phone, I decided not to break my bank and take a chance on a Motorola. This phone has everything that my other phone had plus more space, especially when you use an extra micro SD card. I'm still trying to figure out the quality of the camera. It seems much better than my old phone, but it's definitely not up to a brand name high-end system camera. Didn't have any problem transferring over my information for my old phone to this. Just took a cable to hook up a phones and switched everything over. Then put in the SIM card in it was up and running. The only thing I had to do was verify my Google account and my Verizon account. I only went to Verizon to look for a case for this phone and the manager told me he only carries things for high-end phones. And I thought to myself, how rude. Not everyone wants to pay $1,000 for brand name Samsung or iPhone or anything else. Even though I will probably go back to a Samsung later on. It's just not my thing at the moment. So I am satisfied with the Moto g 5G for the time being. Battery life has been exceptional. I can go two days without charging. That's with not watching videos or playing online games. Haven't had any issues really. I'm just trying to get used to having such a big phone. And they don't seem to make the case that I like that has the double-sided clear silicone covers on it. But it's not a game changer.

Gran opción gama media
Tras casi un año de comprarlo... Excelente procesamiento, gran precio...
