Best French Press coffee maker ever, stays hot for a long time, easy to use, looks and feels great.
I love this French Press! It is always worth it to invest in good quality products. This feels good, looks great, and makes outstanding coffee. I usually stick with drip coffee because I drink a large volume, but this is convincing me to switch over to French press. This thing keeps coffee hot for many hours, is easy to use, and is just a total joy. I've used the glass presses before and get annoyed at how often grounds wind up above the filter. This fits tighter and if you can deal with the slightly annoying sound of the metal scraping (I'll do anything for a cup of really good coffee!), you'll be super happy with this product. I had bought a percolator from these guys and found it to be wonderful (though I don't like the grounds that come out without using a filter) and wanted to try this too. I don't know which I'll bring camping next time, but probably the press, maybe both. They take a lot of pride in their products and I'll be on the lookout for what they do next. This one feels like something that will last for decades. It might not, but it is solid and works amazingly well.

This thing is HEAVY DUTY!
I bought this for my wife so that she can enjoy French press coffee when we go car camping. This thing is built like a tank! I think you could run over it with your car without damaging it - it's that sturdy! My wife also said it makes good coffee. Only downside: the plunger components don't come apart for cleaning, which is unusual (or so she tells me). Also, ours has what looks like a manufacturing defect along the bottom edge in one area. It looks like someone used a grinder or something to try and smooth it out for some reason, and wound up making it looks like it's damaged. But that's not noticeable unless you turn it upside-down, and it doesn't affect performance, so I'm not deducting any stars. All-in-all a solid product that I expect will last a lifetime. I just hope they exercise a little better quality control during manufacturing.

Classy Gear! Great for camping, comfortable at home!
Four-weekend adventures and dozens of uses at home, this French press from Coletti is unquestionably a classy piece of gear that is great for camping and fantastic on the kitchen table in the morning! For those of us who need a coffee jump-start in the morning (or afternoon, or evening), this 42 oz. press quickly produces seven 6 oz. cups of delicious coffee โ particularly if you are using Yosemite Coffee from Coletti! All metal construction means you have no glass or plastic parts to break like the usual French presses you find on the market today. It is important to note that this press works just like a Thermos to keep your beverage hot. Therefore, you need to preheat it like a Thermos (hot boiling water first before making the coffee) to maximize the time to keep the coffee hot. My experience is that the coffee will stay relatively warm for about 2.5-3 hours with this method, depending on the ambient temperature. Unfortunately, I can not say I have experienced the 4+ hours of hot coffee. The French Press from Coletti is an excellent piece of gear to add to your camping equipment or your home. Stop reading the reviews and order it! You'll be making great coffee soon!

Great Coffee Press for Motorcycle Camping
I am an adventurer at heart. I bought the Colletti Boulder Camping French Press with motorcycle camping in mind. Most of what I have used in the past just did not make enough coffee. There is nothing quite like waking up at a campsite, brewing fresh coffee and sharing it with friends. I was also looking for something that was energy efficient and easy to clean. I have been using the press as my daily brewer at home for about a week and a half now. This press makes great coffee and is simple to clean. Thinking about my motorcycle camping kit, the bag it comes with is great. If the press is still a little wet, I can stow it without having to worry about getting things in my top case or panniers wet. The press is very sturdy and well built, but a little heavy. It comes in at 2 pounds 14 ounces (1303 grams). While this may not seem to be a big deal to most campers, space and weight are a premium on a motorcycle. However, for me, being able to brew great coffee in the bush makes well it worth bringing on trips.

Reclaimed my kitchen counter space!
Albeit my first ever press, I am impressed with the quality. After years on the electric drip & fast k-cup circuit, Iโve switched over to the press. Iโm sipping on my first brew of chai coffee which is still the perfect temperature from the initial pore. Arrived in a sturdy box and wrapped in its own cloth bag. Quite easy to use. Instructions are printed on outside of box. Lid can be turned to a closed position to help keep contents hot. Easy to clean and easy to store. This sleek and sturdy press has made me a very happy convert!

Heavy Duty
I can't imagine that there is a whole lot to differentiate the taste between most french presses and from the pictures I had concluded that (other than the handle) this one appeared similar to other SS versions. I was initially hesitant to buy this one because it was a few dollars more than some of the others and because it was being marketed for camping. Ultimately, I decided to purchase this press because of the claim that the company was veteran-owned and operated (so I hope this to be true). The item arrived well-packaged and in its storage bag (which I assume is to help prevent scratching during transport). However, now that I have the press in hand I am even more confused as to why it is marketed as a camping press. This thing weighs significantly more than I expected. I don't know what kind of camping these veterans must be doing because when I used to camp, the objective was to pack light. So...I guess if you need something to drive stakes into the ground or to give you a fighting chance against a cougar this might come in handy, but if it were up to me I would leave the nicer press at home and instead pack a cheaper/lighter version for camping.

Ground Free Goodness!
Just received my new French press. Makes an absolutely spectacular cup of coffee. I used a hand grinder and ground my beans course. I would recommend a heaping tablespoon per 8 ounces. Tasted wonderful! Keep in mind this is for camping so clean up is a bit tricky as all of your grounds will end up on the bottom and not in your cup. If you treat it as a camping coffee pot, dump and rinse in the wild it is no problem at all. Carafe seems to be insulated to the gills and hold heat forever. I was most impressed by the quality of construction of the unit. It is heavy duty to say the least. Coletti hit this one out of the park. Excellent product!!! Keep up the good work!

Thicc
Very thick, heavy brushed stainless steel. It feels like a tough and manly tool. It was going to replace my camping french press, but it's too damn nice. Looks good at my coffee station on my counter with all my other stainless stuff. The silicone seal I imagine helps with brewing, but I have no way to prove this for sure. Is it an improvement to old designs? Yes, for sure. Just don't immediately think the gasket completely seals everything in perfectly. Let's put our junior engineer hats on for a second and think about it: the pour hole is ABOVE the seal. A couple things that aren't stellar: -This is just my OCD, but the pour hole does not line up well with the arrow indicator. Just bugs me that I have to misalign the arrow to the spout in order to align the hole to the spout. -Also, the fact that it is a pour hole and not a big slot actually reduces the pouring effectiveness. Some coffee always goes up and around the hole and into the top of the lid when pouring so you have to upright it and keep trying to get all the liquid out. A bit annoying. Other than those nitpicks, it's a keeper for me and should last close to a lifetime, I think.
