My son is absolutely captivated by his new magnetic pen, and I can see why. It's not just a writing tool; it's an engaging fidget toy and a surprisingly versatile creative device. The pen itself writes smoothly and feels comfortable in hand, but the real magic lies in the magnetic components. The small magnetic balls that come with it can be arranged and rearranged in countless ways, transforming the pen into different shapes and structures. I gave this to my 8yr old son for his birthday. He was actually browsing amazon for fidget items and just happened to come across this and added it to his wish list. I actually thought this wouldn't be that exciting for him, or keep his attention for very long. Boy was I wrong. My son has surprisingly kept the box in good shape and hasn't lost any pieces yet. He pulls it out, builds things with it, or ever uses it for art (he loves art), then when he is done he makes it back into a pen and puts it all nicely in the box. My other kids have also started playing with it and may request their own. My other son in particular loves to reverse the magnets on the pen so they shoot off... and because the magnets are so strong they shoot off in a very satisfying way. Heck... I may even get one to fidget with at my desk since I work from home.

I bought these to give to my coworkers. They are wonderful but be careful taking them to meetings - it's very tempting to play with them instead of paying attention. They aren't the best to write with, but they aren't the worst either. Definitely worth the money.
