I gave this to my 8yr old son for his birthday. He was actually browsing amazon for fidget items and just happened to come across this and added it to his wish list. I actually thought this wouldn't be that exciting for him, or keep his attention for very long. Boy was I wrong. My son has surprisingly kept the box in good shape and hasn't lost any pieces yet. He pulls it out, builds things with it, or ever uses it for art (he loves art), then when he is done he makes it back into a pen and puts it all nicely in the box. My other kids have also started playing with it and may request their own. My other son in particular loves to reverse the magnets on the pen so they shoot off... and because the magnets are so strong they shoot off in a very satisfying way. Heck... I may even get one to fidget with at my desk since I work from home.

This magnetic pen set was a stocking stuffer for my 13 yr old grandson and he loves it! It was the first thing he spent time on after opening gifts! I shopped around and this set was priced the best too! Score!

Pen itself isn't the best but it's super fun to play with so it's pretty good

I bought this for a stocking stuffer for my grandson. I thought it was cool when I got it and bought one for my granddaughters stocking too. They are ages 9 and 12 and both loved it.
