This product has amazing coverage and beautiful color! The color last a very long time, especially using the conditioner that you can purchase alongside it that has some color depositing effect with it. I love this brand. It is a little expensive, but it sure does beat using the cheap stuff from the store because you don’t have to dye it every single week! Love this so much, and I am constantly getting compliments on the color and the shine! I’m sticking to this brand and am subscribing so that I save a little bit of money. It’d be nice if they gave out coupons once in a while or offer discounts.

I have been using Madison Reed hair color for years, and it continues to be my absolute favorite at-home coloring product. The color always looks rich, natural, and salon-quality, which is something I have struggled to find with other brands. One of the biggest reasons I keep coming back to it is how well it covers gray hair without leaving my hair feeling damaged or overly dry afterward. Instead, my hair always feels soft, healthy, and conditioned after coloring. My go-to shade is Soft Black because it gives my hair a deep, beautiful color without looking harsh or unnatural. Recently, my usual shade was out of stock, so I decided to try the Cool Black-Brown instead, and I was honestly impressed with how amazing it turned out. The color blended beautifully and still gave me the polished look I expect from Madison Reed products. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase and highly recommend it to anyone looking for professional-looking hair color at home. Amazon occasionally offers great sales on these products, but even at full price, I truly think it is worth every penny because of the quality and results.

I am very pleased with the color and coverage. I did the quiz on their website so I recommend that! Once matched, I ordered on here. I have a ton of hair so I was nervous about the quantity to begin with. I have always gone to a salon and the match I got was right on par with my usual. I made sure my roots were nice and covered and moved onto the rest- I give this method the credit for it not mattering some of my hair didn’t get much dye. If I did the sections like recommended, some sections wouldn’t have gotten dye! You can’t even tell how I did it. However if you’re making a big change in color and have long and/or thick hair- I would get 2. I also didn’t love that my shower water was tinged dark for the next 5-6 washes. It didn’t stain clothes or sheets that I noticed but I’ve never had that happen. So if you have white sheets, maybe sleep on a towel.

This product made me lose so much hair, way more than normal. I had no scalp or hair problems before using this. Weeks later, it’s still shedding badly. Turns out I’m not the only one — other customers have complained about the same thing, and there was even a lawsuit over this brand claiming to be “safe” and “gentle” when it isn’t. Don’t buy this. Don’t buy this. Don’t buy this.
