Frédéric Chaubin: CCCP. Cosmic Communist Constructions Photographed. 45th Ed. (45th Edition) (Multilingual Edition) Review: Beautiful and Informative Book! - As with all Taschen books, the quality is awesome! The color photos throughout the book are augmented with multi-language text explaining Soviet-era architecture. My only complaint is that several of the photos are divided across both pages, obscuring a small space in the fold. If I wanted to scan or photograph one of these images to use as my desktop background, it would be marred by the crease. The book has hundreds of cool photos and it's easy to get lost in it for hours! Review: Unseen photos from the former USSR - Interesting photos of USSR architecture unknown in the west. But printed in a small format, a larger size would have been more visually appealing. Contains limited captions or explanation.

Bought as a gift and is perfect, beautiful book and nicely printed

The original (X) version is better, but this is still a wonderful book about a horrible era which still allowed architects to have visions: the future was going to be glorious. Now half of the buildings have been abandoned, but are still standing.

Un bon livre pour les amateurs.
