at what temperature is it pliable? I'm using a coffee warmer which goes to 131 degrees F, is that warm enough?

It should be! I think it said 120 F in the instructions. I used a hair dryer for a while (slow but works) and now a heat gun.

Can this be used as a mold for metal resin or resin on pattern silicone sheets?

I'm not sure if the resin will come away from the Thermo-lock cleanly or not.

Can Thermo-Lock be used to hold cast bezel pieces that require some removal of metal? Can it withstand some heat without the piece coming loose?

Good question--Thermal lock heats very quickly in the microwave--and I only use it for engraving--I know it would hold the bezel in place nicely--as far as heat--maybe not

can it be used to embed stones on a jewelry piece while soldering? or will the compound melt too quickly?

Do not - and I repeat DO NOT - expose to open flame. It will burn quickly and the larger the piece the larger the flames and hotter it gets. I tested it when I got the idea as well. I test stones that I work with to see what their tolerance to soldering heat is. Some stones are OK, but others will crack or shatter. It is all part of the learning process. Also, keep a fire extinguisher near your bench.
