High-Quality Grain-Free Appetizer That Cats Get Excited About
These Fancy Feast Appetizers are a great supplemental treat or topper for cats. The white meat chicken in savory tuna broth has a strong, fresh aroma that immediately gets their attention, and my cats were interested as soon as it was opened. The grain-free formula is a nice bonus, especially for cats with sensitivities. The small tray size works well as a complement to regular meals or as an occasional treat, and the texture is soft and easy for cats to eat. While itโs not meant to replace a full meal, the quality ingredients and strong appeal make it a good value for a special topper that adds variety and excitement to mealtime.

Great quality cat food
My cat enjoys this one sometimes. He's not quite as big of a fan of this particular flavor. He is super picky. However he does eat it sometimes but usually prefers just tuna. Very fresh looking meat and looks like it came right from my dinner table

Less is not MORE
In this flaky economy, Purina has (imo) pulled a fast one. They stopped selling their Purina (Chicken) Fancy Feast, repackaged it and then added tuna water to it (for some reason). So, this is now what we get. The sad reality is that there is significantly less actual chicken and a whole lot more (tuna) juice. I'm told by my vet that ocean fish is not necessarily healthy for our kitties. My cat had a bacterial infection before when I tried Purina's chicken and tuna product - though that may not have been the main culprit in her case (however, she's an indoor cat). So, here's the rub. I used to get around 3 - 4 servings from their previous packaging but this new packaging has a shallower container so at best, I get maybe 2.5 servings, though two is the norm. All for the same price? The silver lining is that for some reason, my 17 yr. old American short hair female kitty devours it. This is good because we put her medicine in it and she usually gets all the medicine with each meal - far better results than we've experienced with the old food. So, it's a love hate thing for us. Is the tuna juice bad for our cat? Why the smaller portions at presumably the same price? Why no pure chicken formula - is it cheaper to weigh the package down with watered down tuna oil? But it's great that my cat devours it and gets all her meds. It just feels dishonest to us. Since my cat is a finicky eater, I'm stuck with feeding her one package of this a day (medicine in the morning and evening) - it's more expensive. Frustrating.
