Privacy Window Film Self Adhesive Frosted Glass Film Opaque No Glue Static Cling Sticker for Office, Bathroom Living Room and Kitchen

Brilliant product

After debating for a long while about buying and installing the product I decided to give it a try. I wanted to have privacy in my bathroom and also just the bottom half of our bedroom window. I decided on buying the matt as I wanted it to look as natural as possible from the outside too. The effect is such as you would expect with fine, heavy condensation a slightly frosty look to it and quite attractive too I may say. I was worried about it making the inside of our house dark, but to be honest it reminds everyone of when its been snowing outside, it gives off that kind of light and effect - a bright clean white diffused light so no problems with that regard. So onto the installation process. After carefully measuring each section I allowed a couple of cm each side. The textured side faces you and the smooth side goes onto the windows. As other reviewers have said it is paramount that the windows, seals, etc. are scrupulously clean (I used wet cotton buds for the corners of each window, pay special attention to the corners can’t stress this enough). TIP - have LOTS of kitchen roll at the ready. Then used an old spray bottle filled with water and after peeling off the clear film I saturated the entire window (and I mean saturated) and the smooth side of the film. Then carefully placed the film onto the glass (I found it doesn’t really slide so it’s best to try and get it into the correct place if you can, it doesn’t matter how many times you have to pull it off and start again just remember to saturate it again each time). Once in place I used an old loyalty card and took my time smoothing out the film and getting as many air bubbles out as I could, you will find that as you smooth the air bubbles out the water runs out so have the kitchen towel at the ready. It was at this point that I found out that I had a blunt craft knife - not good. So I ended up using scissors really carefully. You will find that over the next week or so air bubbles will appear and disappear. I was so pleased with the effect and privacy that I also did my front door (which was already frosted but only slightly). Conclusion. The privacy it offers is just perfect - people can’t see in even with the light on, but if you get really close then they can see a slight blurry image. I would recommend, it can be fiddly at first so expect a learning curve and be patient, our house is south facing and I’m hoping this will also stop some of the heat in the summer, time will tell.

It's definitely a two person job to get it measured, stuck and cut but it was well worth doing. I would recommend making sure the windows and seals are completely SPOTLESS and free of all muck before making any attempts to apply. Really soak the surfaces too in order to get the best possible seal. We found the seals on our first window weren't as clean as they could be, so when we used the squeegee towards the seals, it pushed behind and caused dirt to come out so we have a little stuck behind at the very bottom of the first window we did but it meant we gave the rest of the windows a really thorough scrub and didn't have the same issue. It really is completely opaque too. We live on a busy main road with a lot of foot traffic past the house too and we can't see the cars or people coming past. It's probably 1.5 metres from the window to the pavement so it's really good. We can't even see the outline of the car parked outside the house either. I'm just wishing we had brought this sooner to use! Ultimately, take your time, don't rush it and use a steady hand when cutting. We used a craft knife to get a solid, neat, edge. And a squeegee to get all the bubbles out.

The product was well packaged, easy to mark and cut and easy to apply. The obscuring is really good however having followed all the instructions ie clean the glass well, use plenty of water I found it was easy to get in place and with a card you can remove the bubbles easily. The water runs to the bottom if the window BUT I can’t get the bottom edges to lay flat on either window. Top seems to be fine but bottom isn’t. Wiped off the excess water but still no adhesion. Will keep trying or May resort to a strip of gaffa tape which will be disappointing.

This is the PERFECT cure for nosey neighbours! No longer do I have to tolerate these people staring into my house and take photos. As a bonus my dog can't see out so no longer barks and howls at the idiots. Great to install, but, larger windows require 2 people to fit! !! Clean the window really well (has to be spotless) and use lots of water when fitting and the result will be fine!! Best thing is you can remove it whenever you like and causes no damage. Extremely happy

Ho acquistato questa pellicola per la finestra del bagno. Il colore che ho scelto è il bianco. In totale privacy la luce entra comunque. Soddisfatta sia dell’applicazione che del prodotto. Consigliatissimo.

il prodotto è ok bisogna solo essere molto pazienti e attenti quando si stende e attacca, evitare le bolle d'aria altrimenti poi non vanno più via

La pellicola è piuttosto semplice da installare. L'importante è pulire molto bene il vetro e poi bagnarlo con acqua leggermente saponata. Io ad esempio ho messo un po' di detersivo per i piatti. Quando la si appoggia le bolle si eliminano facilmente con una spatola di plastica facendole uscire dai lati. Il risultato è ottimale e la visuale dall'esterno praticamente si azzera. Vedremo la tenuta nel corso del tempo, ma comunque lo consiglio...
