Is the backpack good for high school student?

I'm a college student, this backpack has been a good fit for me. carrying loads of books and a laptop (weighing approximately 20 pounds) to school, There are three main compartments. The inside compartment is padded to hold a computer or a tablet while the outer compartments provide plenty of rooms to contain loads of books and school supplies. Most of my older backpack ripped somewhere at the bottom after only a few months of use, However, this one is built with a thick layer covering the bottom.

do i need to buy a battery charger in order to use the charger? will the charger charge an ipad while walking?
