The Secure X8 shredder machine shreds up to 8 sheets of A4 paper (80gsm) in one go through the manual feed slot into P-4 (4 x 40 mm) cross cut pieces. This cross cut shredder is small and compact making it a ideal home shredder for use in a home office; it is also an ideal personal office shredder that fits conveniently under a desk. Designed for light to moderate use with a 14L bin capacity for less frequent emptying. I wouldn't put in more that the recommmended number of pieces of paper, if you do this, it can become to much for the cogs inside and you will damage the shredder in no time if you keep over-loading it. Having fixed a number of types of shredders at work over the years, people putting to many sheets in at once, is on top of the list for damaging a shredder. If your using it continously, it tends to over-heat and you will need to let it cool down, this is a shame as this puts it in the home use catogory, rather than a busy office in my humble opinion. I wanted to give this shredder a good review. I really did.
I wanted to give this shredder a good review. I really did. It was quiet, it munched through the papers steadily and, because I've killed shredders before, I was extra careful. I did one page at a time, gave it time to finish each sheet properly before I started the next. I was careful not to overheat it, yet it stopped working for no reason I could find after a month. Actually, slightly over a month which made the return to Amazon a bit complicated. Now I'm on the hunt yet again for a decent shredder. The one I bought from Staples years ago, and which lasted years, simply isn't made any more.

My last shredder stop working a few months back and wanted to by a new one looking found this one and happy with purchase

Great little compact shredder. Very quiet. Well packaged. Works extremely well. Excellent value. Very pleased with it. I went for a lift off top this time as the pull out draw type we had before made so much mess. This new one is easy to empty. And as far as shredders go Very stylish and compact 10/10
