Came earlier than I expected and did not disappoint
These tv trays are just the right size for my apartment. They are sturdy and nice looking. I like the way the trays can be opened or closed with one hand. They are very sturdy

Good, basic small folding tables
I got two of these for the winter holiday season of 2012 as spare bar and snack tables for our parties, etc. They are nice. They look pleasant enough for plastic (black, slightly rough surface) and metal (gray painted aluminum, I think), they stand well and are stable when opened up, and being resin/plastic they are not easy to damage with spills and spots. I use one right now for an Aero-Garden in a corner of a room so that I don't worry about water damage on any other table and the other was easily folded and stored. They also have enough well-positioned leg-room so that they would actually be usable as a TV tray or as a small work table around the house. Probably would be nice for kids for eating or crafting, etc. And, you can put them side-by-side and expand the surface for your use. (I used plastic zip/cable ties to anchor them together around their legs and it worked very well.) We would get these, again, if the need arose for more small tables.Added to my comments on Jan 23, 2013--I was taking a look at the tables again after seeing that someone found the review helpful and I stand by all my positive comments but wanted to make a correction to an error I made: The tops are not black plastic or resin, though I think they may have a thin sort of plastic coating/paint on them. The tops are MDF or medium density fiberboard, so they are compressed wood. I still think they are durable and easy to keep in decent shape and I would still by this product again. Actually, the fiberboard might be better than plastic tops because it is more solid, not as irregular in being level and smooth, etc., and may not distort or sag as easily over time. And, being MDF it is a touch heavier and I think that helps them be stable, not easily tipped over. A person who was very worried about a wood top could, if they were handy, put a quick poly coat on the top, I suppose.Just wanted to correct my mistake, still really like the tables.

Overall they are sturdy and seem nice
I _really_ wanted to get some old school, vintage, full metal TV dinner trays but you can't find them on Amazon or, if you can, they are absurdly expensive. These are lighter than the full wood ones and the top seems to be some kind of plastic-coated MDF. Overall they are sturdy and seem nice. I will update this after about 3 months to report back as to whether or not they exhibit any of the bubbling or other negative features others have reported.## update - 17 apr 2018Holding up nicely. No problems. Leg mountings sturdy. They get daily use for meals, schoolwork and other projects and look nearly new. No chipping, cracking, peeling or bubbling. I’ve put both hot (too hot to hold comfortably but not burning), cold and wet things on them and they are doing fine.

Perfect for Our Needs...
I've only had these two little tables for a few weeks, but they are PERFECT for our needs. We downsized and moved to a small condo with a stacked washer and dryer. I needed a surface to set a loaded laundry basket on (or to set an empty one on, that I would fill from the dryer). I keep one of these small tables right beside the laundry unit. It flips open easily with one hand (similar to how one would open a folding chair)--I often have only one hand available as I'm holding something in the other. Once the table's open, it makes a great surface--like a small countertop right at my fingertips! The other table we keep close by our game table (another folding table) to hold extra items for the games we're playing, like the money tray for Monopoly, etc. It's smaller than the money tray but still very handy! I also plan to use it with my elderly father when he needs his lunch by his bedside. Again, the surface is smaller than my serving tray, so I plan to unload the serving tray onto the table, rather than just sit it on top. Then he can just slide the table over his lap to eat, as he sits upright on the side of his bed.I used to have two white folding tables that were a different design. While the surface areas were larger, it was a real pain to get them open. I had to swing two legs out, then press in on a tiny button for each leg to get the height I wanted. Then a support bar swung out to support the plastic top. Very cumbersome to store and use. Often I would try to slide the table across the floor a little, only to have the support bar drop, thus loosing my horizontal surface. Very frustrating! I've since gotten rid of those and replaced them with these. With these tables, the legs are permanently attached underneath in all four spots. On one end of the table the legs fold inward--remaining attached to the table when you want to put the table away. So you never have do anything more to set up the table than straighten the legs--very simple and everything remains attached. And the tables store well vertically, unlike my old ones.Be aware that the tops of these black tables are small. And they are not height-adjustable. But the convenient design and ease of storage makes up for that, in my opinion. And I suppose if someone were really handy, they could replace the top with just about anything they preferred, like real wood, or a wider surface. I don't know how sturdy the tables would be if the top were widened much, though. They might be nice with a round top. But I like the rectangular tops and find these are very sufficient for what we need, just the way they are.

Heavy top
Provided as described. Solid feel but way too tall to use at the couch.

Great tables-Great price
These are the perfect trays..I didn't want a set of 4 trays with a big bulky stand for storage as I really don't have the space. I bought 2 and they fit nicely in between my stove and fridge as they fold up nice and flat. Very easy to open and close and very sturdy even when sitting on carpet. I would purchase these again if I needed more and they don't break the bank.

Great Quality and Easy Function
I'm very pleased with these new TV tables. They are very nice quality and I really like the easy way they set up. They're also very stable. The tops are somewhat smaller than our very old tables, but I looked for a long time and all the other table tops were the same size as these. They're certainly large enough for a full size plate and an additional bowl or plate, so they'll work for us. They're not elegant, but clean lines and sturdy tops. I'd say these are great for the price and they arrived very quickly.
