Pinaud Eau de Portugal Hair Tonic for Men - Scalp Stimulator for Light Color Thinning Hairs, Removes Loose Dandruff & Promote Healthy Shine, 12.5 fl oz, 1 Pack

Learned about this from my most senior and experienced Barber School instructor. I use as well and have also turned my Dad onto using this product. Kept in your spray bottle water 10% to 20% keeps it from taking on that plastic & stale aroma. It adds some slight control & glide while cutting and may possibly lubricate shears somewhat. I use it professionally in this manner but use personally 50/50 with water in a spray bottle to wet and style my hair before adding any pomade or subsequent product. The fragrance of Eau de Portugal is a natural citrus that makes your hair smell wonderful to a partner or anyone close enough to smell your hair. It is neutral and could be Unisex. I saw noticeable changes to my hair within a week of using this product. Hair takes on more body and improved texture. Limp or flyaway hairs go away, and hair seems to have a great hand feel that is not greasy or un-natural. I would surmise the main active ingredient in this tonic and others similar is glycerine, which is a humectant. While the ingredients list on this bottle contains pleasing citrus parfum essences, the glycerine is what maintains moisture at the scalp and hair follicles while adding some sheen and elasticity to the hair. My father is in his 70s. While he digs the nostalgia of wet shaving and old school products, proper moisturizing of the hair and body has never been a priority for him. He sees highly disciplined self care as outside the traditional male gender role. But, he’s learning. I’ve turned him on to using this product. He dilutes and also uses at full strength. It has done wonders for his hair and scalp. I haven’t tried the other Pinaud tonics. The natural fragrance of Eau de Portugal and the fact it is clear give it a clean and natural vibe I like very much. Highly recommended to anyone with hair.

Smells just as well as it works

Pinaud's Eau de Portugal is a really nice and clean hair tonic. It has a mild orange/gin scent, and splashes out of the plastic stopper very evenly and easily. The tonic itself is meant to help stimulate the scalp and kinda revitalize one's hair. One can style hair very well when it's wet, and it leaves your hair looking a little damp but not slicked. Eau de Portugal is a grease-less tonic, and once your hair has dried with it on, your style will stay pretty much as-is until the wind gets to it or someone tussles your hair. The hold itself it pretty minimal, but tonic's aren't meant to be like gel. This Pinaud (like the others) gives a subtle management to hair, and makes you look and feel good after a shower. I would highly recommend this product, along with literally any other Pinaud item!

Decent product. It does have an orange scent, but it’s not as strong as some are making it out to be. And even at that it goes away fairly quick anyway.

The aroma of this hair tonic is light and pleasant with the citrus scents. It holds your hair in place well while remaining soft to the touch I prefer it to styling in gel.

This stuff smells clean, and it does its job to keep hair in place. I bought it because I trust this brand. But the sticky/tacky hold just isn't for me because it seems to dry my scalp. Still, for those looking for a solution that sets the hair with a nice, dry look — this is the ticket.

Clubman Pinaud Eau De Portugal Hair Tonic, 12.5-Fluid Ounce Good stuff. Nice clean orangy-cirtusy scent. Not greasy and gently keeps hair intact except in very windy conditions. Immediately after shampooing this stuff gives a tingly rush to the scalp. Reminiscent of the old barber shop days.

My barber used this about ten years ago and I was hooked. I can’t comment on what it does to my hair- nothing much, I’m guessing- but it smells great in summer and helps with sweaty Panama hat hair :)

Merece la pena

Clubman Pinaud Eau de Portugal hair tonic smells nice and gives a nice finished to one's hair. When this is finished I will buy another Clubman hair tonic. Recommended.
