Saved my feet
If you have plantar fasciitis, you know what foot pain is. I started using shoe inserts and cushions to try to help with the pain. When I finally figured out what was wrong with my feet, I realized it was time to start treating them better. I did my research and settled on the Spenco Rx Orthotic Arch Supports. I have purchased both the full length and the 3/4 length and have been extremely satisfied with both styles. This pair was for my nephew who has developed the same foot condition. PROS: 1) The bottom of the insert is hard which surprised me at first. All the other shoe inserts I had tried had been cushiony, so this was a big change, but it was exactly what my feet needed, and I just did not know it. I was one of those people who was using 2 or 3 inserts to create a layer to stop the pain. 2) The arch support was perfect for me. I did not have to "adjust" my feet to wearing these. I did not have to boil them to conform them to my feet, so I cannot give an opinion on that process. I noticed relief from my foot pain very quickly just as they were. 3) These are much, much more affordable that orthopedic shoes. I can take these inserts out of one pair of shoes and put them into another. Orthopedic shoes are not cheap, nor have they traditionally been stylish. The styles have gotten better, but they are still a bit pricey. 4) Mine have held up extremely well. It may be because I have purchased several pair so I did not have to swap one pair of inserts between shoes every day (I have a LOT of shoes), but I have never had a pair break or feel unsupportive or worn out and some of them I have had for a long time now. CONS: These are a bit wide if you need to use them in women's dress shoes. I do not have narrow feet by any stretch of the imagination, but I had to trim as much as I could off the soft part of the sides to fit these into my dress shoes, and they were still wide enough that they would not fit in some of them. They work great in tennis shoes and sneakers. My boots were hit or miss depending on how wide the boot was. Spenco does make a hard insert for dress shoes, but the support is not nearly the same in my opinion. I bought one pair of the thinner ones for dress shoes to try them and did not bother to buy another pair. For my feet, they were not supportive enough. CONCLUSION: I think these are absolutely worth the money. My fourteen year old nephew has been wearing this pair for a little while now and is feeling relief from his foot pain. When I told him that I had ordered these for him, he rolled his eyes and griped a little bit, but he appreciates them now. He has now purchased a different brand on his own and is supposed to let me know how they work. I suspect he will be asking for another pair of these soon. Hope this review helps.

THEY WORK
Recommended to me by a podiatrist. Best insert on the market if you need an arch support.

Good comfortable arch support
I have bought 3 of these. They do not cause your toes to feel cramped and give good arch support. They were recommended to me by the "brace guy" at my orthopedic office.

VERY DIFFERENT THAN THE ORIGINALS
Iโve worn these for years. Purchased locally and foot doctor molded the arch to fit me by heating them with a heat gun and using his fist protected by an oven mitt on a flat surface. He said they could be molded by dipping them for a few seconds in boiling water and then using your fist to form the arch as they cooled. Recently, I learned they are no longer available locally and doctor gone. The pharmacy where I bought them before said they recommend getting from Amazon now. I had 3/4 length in 2 pairs before so thatโs what I got again. But these are MUCH LARGER than previous. The photo shows they are longer and wider. Also the plastic underneath that is supposed to be โmoldableโ is different. Also these came already with a high arch molded. The other photo shows that the arch already built in is higher than the arch the doctor fitted for me in the old pair. So to me itโs odd to already be molded AND there are no instructions for how to remold the arch with heat. But, the higher arch doesnโt bother me anyway but it might not work for everyone. The size seems more suited for a man. I have fairly large feet (10 Med Width) and my casual shoes are wide enough for these to work. But these are too wide to fit In dressy shoes. They will rub and tear up the side of the shoes. The older smaller ones didnโt do that. I ordered according to the chart, but I think ordering smaller would get closer to what I had before IF they are not just shorter but also more narrow. I read other reviews complaining about the width not working for many shoes so I donโt know if ordering smaller would fix that. Also some said they canโt be returned. Since Iโm keeping these I donโt know about that. I will use them in my casual shoes and the older shorter and more importantly less wide ones in dress shoes.

she needed these
I bought this pair for my mother. She loves hers, and it helps her have support for her feet. They have provided much pain relief, and they are a durable support in her shoes.

comfortable orthotic support
This is an OUTSTANDING VALUE and effective, comfortable orthotic support. It is my hands down favorite of the 4 kinds I have tried in my month long search. That begins with a $200 kind I bought on a cruise, the renowned Dr. brand at a discount superstore that was $46, a super hard, moldable support for about $85 and then the Spenco bargain. I am truly delighted with it, especially if it is durable for the long term. I heated it in boiling water a few minutes and molded it to the shape of my foot, holding it to conform to the sole of my foot for a couple of minutes. I had hiking socks on and leather gloves to protect my feet and hands from the hot arch support coming out of the boiling water. The the results are SHEER COMFORT and stabilizing support equal to the $200 cruise set! The hard $85 moldable ones conformed to my foot well but feel like I am standing on a hard rock. Unacceptable! Also, these work very well with my sandals. A trick to hold them is place is at the heel and toward the toe, affix the velcro adhesive ovals you can get at a department store to the sole of your shoe (after taking the insole liner out), put in the Spenco 3/4 arch support, then the insole that came with the shoe and you have sheer comfort. Because my feet are right at a size 12, I bought some size 13 tennis shoes and my toes have never known sucy uncramped comfort as well. I am lucky and do not have any foot problems (flat feet, pronation issues, plantar fasciatis, etc). I was simply looking for comforting support and the Spenco is every bit the comfort of the expensive cruise purchase at 1/8 the price! I am greatly please and gratified. My only question will be how durable they are and how long they will hold their shape. Do spread the word on how the velcro adhesive ovals hold them in place. Enjoy the bargain. The are hard to find these days! I have not received, nor have I sought any financial benefits from the company. This is entirely my own, unsolcited evaluation.

Meh
Been using these for a few years because it can be difficult to find the 3/4 length to use with open toed shoes. The arch support is my real need, but itโs mediocre really.

Perfect arch support for Crocs.
These Spenco RX arch supports are perfect for crocs! I havenโt been able to wear crocs because Crocs have zero arch support and the bumpy footbed irritates my feet. These Spenco arch supports solved that problem. They have a thick, rigid footbed covered with a soft lining. My only complaint is that they do not offer a variety of colors. The green is just ugly! Iโd like black. Iโm not going to take any points off for the lack of color choices because these footbeds are just as good as my $500 as the ones from my podiatrist. The 3/4 length is perfect for my boots also. I added a slipper insert and gems, both from Amazon. I highly recommend these arch supports for those with foot problems.
