What would be proper age group for this plastic kit?

That's a complicated question... Some people make choices to grant their kids responsibility earlier and others later. We've always been in the 'early' camp - expecting our kids to rise to the occasion, and being willing to take things away if they show themselves incapable of being responsible. Maturity and carefulness aren't always tied to an age. There are teenagers who I wouldn't expect to make safe choices with a plastic knife, while I think my 5-year-old can.So, that said... This is a plastic knife with an exceedingly dull edge but a rather pointy tip. The plastic, while durable, wouldn't stand up to much abuse. I would suspect that _I_ wouldn't give this to a child younger than 4, but your mileage may vary.
