Professional quality, no regrets
I debated this board for a while because of the price — but after using it, I can honestly say it’s worth every dollar. This board is substantial. It’s heavy, stable, and doesn’t slide around the counter at all. The craftsmanship is outstanding — smooth finish, solid construction, and clearly made to last for years, not months. This is not a decorative board pretending to be functional; it’s the real thing. Knives feel great on it, it’s gentle on blades, and it’s large enough to actually work on comfortably. I also appreciate that it arrived well-finished and ready to use with a little oil. Yes, it’s an investment — but if you cook regularly and want a board that won’t warp, crack, or need replacing, this is it. I’d rather buy one excellent board than multiple cheaper ones. If you’re on the fence: don’t be. This is a true professional-quality cutting board.

BEWARE
I purchased the Boos cutting board in January of 2023. I read on how to "take care" of the board based upon the company's suggestions. I left it out on a granite countertop, not just for usage but also to avoid warping. They also recommended to use their oils and creams which I bought and used. Sounds stupid, but I never put it in the dishwasher, soaked or left it in water. I basically cleaned it with a minimal amount of water, soap and a sponge. Here we are almost 2 years later and the board is warped and splitting at 1 of the seams. I called Boos customer service and lets say their is very little service. The woman I spoke to seemed like I was bothering her and she indicated the warranty is not valid and indicated all the things I probably did or didn't do to preserve the integrity of the board. HUH??? I explained in detail that I followed ALL of their directions even the oils. What's worse I made a comment that I guess I will just trash it and she laughed and repeated the warranty is not valid. I don't expect anything for free or refund but what I did expect is to take ownership of a product that is either not made well or it defective, especially it can't uphold a sponge. Side note, after I purchased this board I purchased a different board from another company (nothing fancy or expensive) and guess what... it's still in excellent condition!! Sadly I will not buy, recommend or purchase the Boos board again.

Sturdy large cutting board for fruits and vegetables
Nice, smooth cutting board that will protect your knives very well. I have used this board for several weeks and it has survived all of the use with no issues at all. Before using I applied some mineral oil to it and repeated applications of oil, in between uses, has certainly helped protect the wooden board. This cutting board is the correct size for most uses - I use it to chop/slice vegetables and fruits only. For meat, I use a plastic cutting board as I can put it into a dishwasher for deep cleaning. I would not recommend using a wooden cutting board for any meat or fish as you cannot put it into a dishwasher. Cleanup after use is very easy - just rinse under the tap and then stand it on the edge to dry out. After every two or three uses, apply some mineral oil to all sides and that is it.

Well-made, but edges are sharp!
It is a good, heavy, solid board. All the glue lines are tight, and the wood is of good quality. The edges of the board are very sharp, though, which could lead to splinters as the board ages, so I plan to sand them, or round the edges with my router. I do wish that one side had a juice groove, which would make it easier to handle, and better for dealing with juicy items.

A great wood cutting board
This cutting board is definitely as advertised. It is made very well and is representative of all the great reviews that I read and the company's reputation. I would suggest this board to friends and family!

Great size
Great size for everyday use. Light enough to move around the kitchen and it looks good as well.

I'm really disappointed in something I thought would be quality.
I've loved this wooden cutting board but I've had it only 6 months and it's splitting at the seam, on both sides and at both ends. I bought my daughter the same cutting board the day before. She's having the same issue. She has a much older, about 9 or 10 years old, Boos cutting board that is larger and doesn't have these same issues. I realize that these were on a great sale. I thought it was some Prime Day deal. I've now reconsidered and think these were just a bad batch that Boos thought they could unload at a great price on Amazon. Buyer beware. I wonder if anyone else has had this same, or a similar issue?

This is by far the best quality chopping board we have had so I am hoping we get many years of use from it. This particular model is the thinnest one listed on Amazon and personally I would not want to have it any thicker as it would become just a bit too heavy and awkward to handle. The same goes for the size and the next one up would be too big for our work surfaces and cupboards,

O produto empenou e descolou partes com poucos meses de uso. Não recomendo.

Pleased with it so far. Oiled and waxed it after taking it out of packaging. It’s been used everyday since. I went in with moderate expectations seeing some of the less favorable reviews about wood imperfections. My take - this is natural lumber and unfinished or unvarnished for its purpose as a chopping board. I’ll use it for meat , fish, and vegetables for daily meal prep. It’s not really a serving board per se though if you want you can serve hams and cheeses on it. I have smaller thinner finished wood boards for that dining table use. The surface is indeed unfinished/unvarnished but there are no splinters or visible fillers. Just a thin cream coating lightly at the factory I think. after using some days now I appreciate it for its natural raised wood texture. No obvious fillers, visible cracks or wood rot of any nature. But if it had a little I would just accept it as part of natural lumber products. It’s not veneer for sure. The edges are very flat, clean and sharp, no bevel. This isn’t an edge grain heirloom 2 inch butcher block in the boos line but for my use coming from an ikea propmatt and thinner unbranded Chinese made bamboo board of over 10 years, this is a big leap in luxury for the kitchen. I will oil and wax it as that is the nature of these wooden blocks as are any wood blocks if you care about these things. if not you can probably replace them when they don’t serve their function well. There are cheaper unbranded wooden boards in hardware stores. You’re buying and reading this review because you know what the boos name and brand heritage made in USA represents. In Singapore, machine dish washers are not common so that is not a problem in this part of the world. Hand washing is the standard. Bought the boos cream and oil as well but I imagine in the long run the ikea wood board oil will be adequate as well.

Requires some sanding and oiling.. but no cracks or serious problems. 😌

Not worth the price, used twice and sent back for a refund as board started to splinter.
