I purchased one transmitter and one receiver. They were already paired and worked right out of the box. When I changed the ringtone on the receiver, it did not ring with my selected ringtone when the transmitter button was pushed. It still rang with the default ringtone. After carefully reading and following the instructions, I paired them again and it worked. When you choose a different ringtone, you need to pair them again. As for the dog, it took me an afternoon to train him, he seems to have made the connection and is using the bell more and more consistently. The button needs a bit of strength to push. I was not able to push it with my nose. I placed it on the floor and my dog steps on it. At first he was sitting on it and did not realize he was pushing it.
