Quality and useful
It has taken me a bit to get around to trying these travel brushes. OMG! I am completely impressed. For inexpensive travel brushes, they are as good as my more expensive Princeton watercolor brushes. They have a fantastic fine tip point, that keeps its shape and the bristles are flexible but spring back nicely. I love these! I have a couple sets for my travel kits. I have multiple travel watercolor kits for different travel situations and location. I can’t recommend these travel brushes enough. I added one set to my regular stash of brushes for everyday painting. They are my new favorite brushes.

Great value for the money, and perfect for "travel".
I got these brushes for travel, but I have been using them at home almost exclusively since I got them. I'm very happy with the quality especially for the price. If you have used golden taclon brushes or something similar for watercolor, than you will know what to expect from these. They have a nice sharp point and hold a decent amount of water. They are not a replacement for a thirsty squirrel brush, but they are not meant to be. If you are looking for something to throw in your travel bag that takes up less space than a regular sized brush, and you don't want to worry about the bristles being destroyed... These are fantastic. There were a few hairs that stuck out on one of the brushes when I got them, but I just trimmed them off. Not sure if that is how you are supposed to handle that or not but it worked for me. If they were more expensive, or from a big name maker I would have been upset about the stray hairs, but as these were under $20... I'm quite happy. There is one brush that when assembled in just the right way has a bit of wiggle to it. All I have to do is twist the cap on the handle a bit and it becomes perfectly stable. Again, not bothersome enough to complain and the only reason I'm mentioning it is because I have seen some reviews where people have had trouble with this. I included a photo to show these brushes (silver handle) next to the Princeton Neptune brushes (copper handle) I purchased at the same time. The picture with the dots on it has been done with the Golden Maple brushes only, and the other 2 have been a combination of both brushes.

A paintbrush kit that's definitely worth the price
The pouch these brushes come in doesn't take up a lot of space. If you're looking for travel brushes the size is debatable. They are compact until you twist the handle on. Then they become normal sized. For those who are comfortable working with a brush that is about the length of a water brush, this shouldn't be a problem. If you want to work loosely the extension gives you the longer stem. Quality is quite good, especially for the pricer. I've used a bunch of different sizes and brands. Quality and price do not always match. It's frustrating to have hairs separate from the ferule and wind up in the painting. So far no sign that will happen. The construction looks tight. They are synthetic so, although said to be for watercolor, they will work with acrylic or gouache, not impasto style.. Through the years illustrators and painters haven't always used one technique with watercolors. Watercolor paper, not indispensable. Wet into wet, etc. same thing. That said, these brushes will be useful for new and experienced painters. Experimenting with a variety of tools can't help but lead to new techniques, etc. No harm done.

Nice brushes
Love this set of three brushes. The case is nice quality. They hold a nice amount of water. They feel good in the hand, nice weight. Have become my favorite brushes to use at all times.

Bad handle
The quality of the handle is terrible snd the screw fitting is off. That said, the bruises are really nice for watercolor, as good as the best synthetic sable. The maker needs to fix that handle, even if it costs an extra $5 or $10.

Great brush set
Hmm, what to say. Ok, these brushes are as advertised. They love water. They handle wonderfully. The tubes are tight so no worries about them coming apart. If I had any complaint at all it would be that they are far more large than you'd be thinking they be. They are huge for a travel brush. The barrels, when put together, are more akin to the length of an oil brush than a watercolor brush. However, this isn't a bad thing. They are also thick which is great from someone with mobility issues or prone to hand cramps. Again, I can't find anything really to complain about. They are exactly as advertised. You'll never have any issues sucking up the water & pigment. The tips always find their points. The brushes are soft enough to get great gradients yet firm enough to spring back. Just be prepared for a longer fater barreled brush. Would I recommend, yes. Especially for people with hands issues whom need more girth in their barrels.

Fantastic travel brushes
I rarely run across products that far exceed my expectations, but this travel brush set is one of them. The brushes are the perfect range of sizes for small sketches and detail work, up to larger paintings. They are also very high quality, with a nice point at the end of each brush. The handles screw on and off, so you don't have to worry about them wobbling when you're painting or getting stuck when you're trying to put them away. Even the pouch is of nice quality. I am so pleased and excited to have such a nice set of pocket brushes for my upcoming travels and local plein air painting outings!

These are literally my all-time favourite paintbrushes. I use them every single day. They are part of my watercolour kit. I love how they collapse into itself making it super easy to travel. I toss the garbage because it’s pointless for me, but the paintbrushes themselves are amazing. I wish they had more sizes.

It's not easy to find a good quality travel brush at such an affordable price let lone three. This set has exceeded my expectations! Not only do they look good they work well! The brush and handle fit together well. The brush feels good in your hand. The hairs come to a nice point and their thirstiness is appropriate especially for a travel brush where you might want more control if working on smaller projects. The 3 sizes (4, 8, 12) are a wonderful range. The #12 has become a fast favorite and the #4 is great for details. I highly recommend this set. I have more than one!

As a beginner, I don't have the experience to judge the quality and precision of the hair but they've done well with everything that I've asked of them. They are easy to maintain, hold a predictable amount of pigment/water and flow smoothly. After a bit of trial and error I was able to get precise lines, the way I wanted. However, as others have stated, the handles don't stay on and wiggle while you're painting, which is very annoying when you're trying to be steady. Once the handle came right off and caused a blooper on my painting. For this reason, I'd put the build quality of the overall product at 3/5. Buyer beware!
